Happy Halloween!!!...

Last night was our ward Trunk or Treat. Since Spenc was sick and couldn't come with us my sweet sister Corinne came with me. Shes the best. Seriously. Anyways Preston pretty much hated his costume when I first put it on.

Look at him crying and trying to tear it all off...is it mean that I just laugh looking at these pictures haha

After we took some pics at the house we left to go Trunk or Treating. Preston was way happier once we got there and stopped trying to tear his costume off. People would give him his candy and he'd put it right in his bucket :) They also had a blow up bouncy thing that he played in. Corinne took our picture while we were there

Then we got home and I let him pick out a candy out of his bucket and he picked a sucker...he's not good with suckers and drooled all over himself.

You can see all the drool all over his shirt...gross haha. I have to wash that so he can wear his costume again tonight at Grandma and Grandpas. Last night was fun even with the tantrums that were thrown haha. He definitely was the cutest spider I have EVER seen!

Pumpkin Carving...

Instead of carving Preston's pumpkin I decided to have him color it with washable markers and then let him put stickers on it. He had such a good time!

Good thing we got washable markers because he also thought it would be fun to color his highchair as well :)

He thought it was sooo fun to put stickers on his pumpkin

And this is his finished pumpkin! Isn't it adorable!?

Danny and Alyssa came over last night and we carved out pumpkins! Alyssa found some cute patterns online that we printed out and they were a little harder then we thought they would be haha!

I look seriously horrible but just disregard that fact and enjoy are cute pumpkins :). Danny and Alyssas was a cute Frankenstein and ours was a skeleton. I actually totally broke ours but pinned him back in place with some sewing pins haha!

Our Skeleton in the dark :)

Our cute pumpkins :) I'm glad Spenc was able to do a little of this with us because I'm so totally sad that I've got to take Preston trunk or treating without him tonight :(. Last night was lots of fun though!!!

ER...

A couple of days ago Spenc was telling me that his chest hurt. It kept hurting for a couple of days and then he started feeling sick and last night he felt REALLY sick. Well he woke up at about 3 with sharp bad pains in his back and he was having a really hard time breathing. At first we thought maybe a lung had collapsed because he was having all those symptoms and so we headed to the ER cause that could potentially be really bad. Well they took an xray and it turns out he has Pneumonia.

This is Preston in the waiting room...the kept climbing up the chairs and on to the coffee table to talk on the phone. Isn't his outfit so fashionable haha :)

This is in our room with the IV. We got there around 430 or 5 and didn't get to leave until 9 this morning. Preston was actually a sweetheart the whole time...flirting with nurses and exploring and watching cartoons. He had some blood work taken and everything came out good so we are home now and he just needs to rest and take his antibiotic and pain meds. Poor Spenc...

Pumpkin Patch 2010...

We finally made it to a pumpkin patch last night! The weather was perfect and since it was a Wednesday it wasn't busy. We had a great time! Here is some of what we did...

Me and Preston rode in the cow barrels again...he liked it so much he cried when we had to get out :(

We looked and talked to some farm animals...these geese really did talk back to Preston, it was pretty funny

Preston ran around in a (hay) maze...he got himself out without any help haha he just ran around laughing and chasing other kids in the maze

My scarecrows :) I love how Preston's not paying attention and Spencer is making a silly face. I seriously am in love with my boys

There was a playground we attempted to play on...other than the slide I think everything else was broken haha

Preston milked a cow :)

Preston saw some kids on these bike things and he really wanted on so Spenc peddled and Preston steered...he loved it :)

We tried to get a picture of Preston in the pumpkins but this is the best we got...he wasn't amused.

These are the pumpkins we chose...me and spenc decided that instead of 2 middle sized pumpkins, wed carve one big one together and of course we got Preston a cute little pumpkin of his own :)

And this is us trying to leave. Preston of course didn't want to ride in the wagon he wanted to pull it. We had lots of fun and i cant wait to carve our pumpkins friday night. I LOVE the holidays.

Pets...

Preston loves animals. He gets so excited when we go visit a family member with a dog or cat or anything that moves really. I'm not an animal lover, in the least bit. Well when I was in junior high my dad took me hunting and I killed my first and only deer. He got it mounted and when I got married he told me that I had to keep it and put it in my house. That kind of "decor" isn't really my style haha so I've been meaning to hang it up in my garage but I have yet to get to that.

Lately this is Preston every time we go in and out of the garage. He runs over to the deer and gives it hugs. He loves his deer. Its like his little pet. :) and its a pet I can definitely handle.

Halloween Week...

Its the week of Halloween! We have SO much planned for this week...we haven't really done anything this entire month to celebrate this fun holiday. So we are planning on going to the pumpkin patch ( im thinking schnepf farms ), and we need to buy and carve pumpkins and we have a ward trunk or treat. I'm so excited for the festivities!

Preston found some "teeth" that we won at a white elephant party one year and he kept giving them to me and I would put them in and he would laugh. But I think I laughed harder at him when I put them in his mouth :)

Happy Week of Halloween!

Blonde + Trains = ?

Preston keeps us busy. One of his favorite things is to be pushed on his train really fast down our hallway. Its a tiring job...so we take turns pushing.

Oh and I got my hair done last week...it was getting really nasty. I put more blonde in it and cut my dead ends off. It looks and feels lovely. I LOVE getting my hair done. I asked Spenc what he thought and he says he likes me with dark hair the best. I told him I wanted to look more like my cutest blonde baby haha :).

Action Pics...

Our Saturday was a bit of a boring one...we ran over to a baby shower that morning but I had to take Preston with me so it was a bit hectic and then I came home and cleaned and then we took Preston down to the park to get some energy out.

Preston likes going fast and going down the big slides and we got some "action" pics that are pretty funny

It looks like he's scared but man alive did that kid like that slide...he kept going back to it as fast as he could haha

Head first on the tunnel slide...he's such a crack up.

When we got home Spenc had to study and Preston was pretty worn out so we watched the fresh beat band together. I love that he will sit on my lap and cuddle with me and watch a show. Love this kid.

Slides...

Preston is in the funnest stage right now. His bubbly, funny and crazy personality is really starting to show and we love it. He is constantly making us laugh and just wants to play, play, play 24/7. He really likes the park down our street and his favorite slide is the covered one. He jumps in head first and laughs and laughs when he gets to the bottom. It's seriously cute :)

Church Softball...

( Preston watching Spencer ( 3rd baseman in the orange shirt) )

Last night we all went to the stake center to watch Spenc play some church softball.

When Spenc wasn't playing he'd come out and spend time with us...

Spencer played really good and even hit a home run! Proud of you baby ;)....

Old Navy...

This is Preston when he wakes up, he's usually really happy :). So I've kind of been in a blogger's rut and I don't really know or have anything to blog about lately. Things here have been the same old stuff except that I was sick AGAIN last night. I'm never sick and now I've been sick 2 in like 2 weeks...gross. Anyways yesterday me and my sister went to Old Navy and I had to blog about what an AWESOME deal we got! I got sent a coupon for "Buy an adult item, get a childs item FREE"

You have to use your Old navy credit card but Its seriously an amazing deal. Look how much I saved yesterday...

Circled in yellow is the before price and circled in blue is the after. So lets do the math 114.80-47.21=67.59! I saved well over half price! I got Preston some winter/snow stuff since its pricey and well need it in a few months when we go to Flagstaff and hopefully Utah. His jacket was regularly 40.00 ( on sale for 30.00 ) and I got it for FREE!  I got him some snow boots regularly 25.00 for FREE and then I got him a cute beanie and gloves regularly 16.50 for FREE!

I'm going back today. haha you can use sale adult items as well but not clearance SO I'm going there and finding cheap stocking stuffers ( for me and spenc ) so I can get Preston some nice free stuff! I'm excited...I'll show you what kind of deal I can get today...YAY!

The deal ends tomorrow so if you want to go then HURRY!

Coolest Kid EVER...

I love these pajamas...Preston just looks adorable in them. Last night after his bath he was absolutely as hyper as could be. He was moving a million miles a minute...

Running and laughing and making weird noises and the funniest faces

He got jealous of me taking so many pics of him and wanted to take some too but he's SO rough with the camera I had to take it away...and this is how he felt about that...

Then Spenc finally got home at around 8 last night and Preston was so excited to see him

I love nights like these...I love playing with my happy baby. :)

Tuesdays...

It's already almost the middle of October. I can't believe how fast time goes. I have Preston's Halloween costume, he's gonna be a spider :) I seriously can't wait. We haven't been to a pumpkin patch yet but I'm excited because we had such a good time there last year so I'm sure it gonna be more fun this year! Halloween is on a Sunday this year though...how does that work? I think in our ward we have a trunk or treat that Saturday but I won't be taking Preston out on a Sunday and I actually don't want Trick or Treaters knocking on my door a million times on Sunday night...maybe I'll just leave candy on my front bench? What will you guys be doing?

Yesterday my sister in law came over and we made some slipcovers for her pillows. We kind of made it up as we went and they turned out great! They are easy to take off and wash too which is fabulous since the fabric has a lot of white. Preston had to test out the pillow when it was finished :) Alyssa has Tuesdays off so we've been hanging out with her almost every Tuesday now and we love it! You should have seen how happy and hyper Preston was when she came over, it was cute!

I can't stop thinking...

I honestly had no idea what was going on with this issue until a few days ago. I can honestly say that I loved President Packers talk, when someone would ask me about general conference and what talk I liked his is the one I brought up. It was on trials that we face that we can overcome. And I definitely have trials that I need to overcome and work on and I felt the spirit through his words. I truly believe that we all have trials to overcome in this life and if we cave in, those trials can harm us. I don't have huge trials to overcome like some but I was shocked on some of the things I was reading in regards to this talk. I loved this story here a once "gay" women's perspective of his talk. And another perspective here.

Not once did he mention anything about hate. About not accepting people or not willing to help anyone. I do feel bad for these people and I feel bad they think we are trying to make them feel bad and unwanted. But I think when someone is doing something wrong they take offense more easily. And this talk got turned around and is now thought of as a hatred speech. Most people don't know how much our church is doing to help the "gays" with their trials. Of course no one wants to mention anything good they just want to feed on the so called bad things the church does. I loved how this man ( unknown author ) worded his thoughts so I wanted to share them:

Why is it that people who have nothing to do with the church try to change what it teaches? I thought americans were all about free speech. I find it sad that people who feel they might be gay are taught by society that God made you this way, you don't have a choice. There are many different sexual orientations or inclinations but just because today homosexuality has greater acceptance in society does not mean that an active gay lifestyle is right or acceptable to God. A greater love for people who are suffering with this issue is needed but it can't be done by purely condoning the behavior, it has to be lovingly helping people to cope, adapt and live a life in accordance with what God has taught. My weakness will be different to yours but may be more devastating in different ways. I don't argue it is one of the most difficult things to overcome, but for people, especially those who are not even members to try to change the doctrine and expect the church to conform to their views attacks free speech and in a religious sense is trying to change the mind of God and standards that God has set. We as members accept that the prophet and leaders reveal to us the messages God wants us to receive. Whether it is hard for us to accept it or not it is better to know and understand His will than to blindly follow the ideas of society which frequently change and are the cause of many social problems we have around the world today. I didn't know the church had so much to do with helping mormons who feel they are gay and although I am not gay it gives me a sense of peace to know the extent of this. That is what perhaps people should give more consideration to.

I have a testimony of this church. I know its true. I know our Apostles were called of God. I have a testimony of revelation and I believe in what has been revealed, what is now revealed and what will be revealed. I'm ready to stand for what is right and what is true.

We believe all that God has revealed, all that He does now reveal, and we believe that He will yet reveal many great and important things pertaining to the Kingdom of God.--9th Article of Faith

Temple Site...

Our Stake President asked that everyone go out and take a picture where the new temple will be built and of course we waited forever to go out and take it. I hate the picture haha I look ugly and Preston isn't looking but Preston had a huge melt down and the sun was so bright and we didn't have anyone there to take the picture so we were trying to use the timer and it just wasn't working. So this is what we got...

Hopefully our after picture will be better...I really am so excited for this temple to be built. It is SO close to us, not that the Mesa Temple is that far away but this one will be like 10 min away. So perfect.

Heres Preston pointing to where the Temple will be :)

A New Week...

Wow am I really glad I get to start a new week. It seems like I had something going on EVERY day...and my house really shows it. Its a pit and I get to clean it when I wake up...YAY (sarcasm). Well since I hadn't posted since Wednesday I thought I'd do a quick recap. Thursday Spenc went go carting with his family and didn't get home untill super late ( like 11 pm ) so me and Preston were on our own for the whole day. So we met up with Corinne and went shopping. It was fun because I had some extra spending money from selling my cricut and I got some cute things to revamp my closet ( i desperately needed it ).

Friday was a day I'd like to forget. I woke up feeling completely fine and had planned on cleaning my house all day. Well around noon I was sick...REALLY sick. I couldn't stop throwing up and I couldn't even keep water down. Preston just wanted to be in the bathroom with me...closing the toilet seat on my head as I'm puking, he threw one of his toys in the toilet in my vomit and after I had flushed the toilet and was washing my hands he leaned over the toilet and made puking sounds pretending to throw up like mommy and then laugh and smile (haha...I laughed even though i felt like crying, even though he's a complete mess, he knows how to make me smile ). I called spenc and asked him to PLEASE come home because I just felt like I couldn't be this sick and keep an eye out for Preston at the same time ( I couldn't let him in the bathroom with me again! ) Have you ever gotten so dehydrated that you cant open or move your hands and you can barely talk or move your mouth? Well I couldn't even keep water down and that's how I was when Spencer came through the door.  I started panicking before he came home because I didn't know what to do and I'm sure it made it worse but he saved the day and made it  home just in time. He calmed me down ( though i was asking him to take me to the ER cause I felt as if i wasn't going to make it haha dramatic i know )...got me water and rubbed my back until i could breathe normally and i wasn't all tingly. He ran to the store and got me what I needed and totally took care of Preston while I slept and puked the rest of the day away. Finally at about 9 at night I felt much better. I'm guessing I got food poisoning from something because it came and went in one day. I seriously thank my lucky stares for such an amazing husband who really takes care of me and shows me he loves me even when I'm a ugly sick stinky mess. :) I love you so much Spenc. XOXO...  I really hope I don't get sick again for a LONG time...

On a good note my sister found out shes having a BOY friday morning and we are all so excited for them! Now I wish he was here already...

Saturday we shopped a little more and Preston was really grouchy all day long...We rented Clash of the Titans and I actually really liked it. I didn't think I would but for some reason I was hooked to the tv the entire time.

I told you Preston climbs now right...

He thinks his crib is a jungle gym now...fun for me ;) I also found out his crib was recalled. I was kinda excited at first cause I get a new one but it's turning out to be a little more of a pain in the butt. And I feel bad that he will have to sleep in a travel/portable crib until we actually get money back from the crib place and then order the crib and then wait until it gets here...it could be like 2-3 weeks. I feel like putting it off but I'll probably do that this week too.

So here's to a new week...I hope its good! :)
