Long Bath Hair...

Spencer and Preston's hair is SO long. I cut their hair in August and that was the last time. I don't love doing hair, thats why I never finished school so I dread cutting their hair. Spencer probably asks me 50 times before I eventually give in and just do it. Especially now that I have to cut Preston's hair it has turned into a really "dirty" job. Blah. I will cut their hair soon though because they are looking a little bit too much like shaggy from scooby doo. :)

His bath has now been turned into his own little wave pool with how crazy he gets in there. I have to use a few towels just to keep myself and the floor dry.

He sure does give me a run for my money. He is seriously such a mess and has more energy then 10 of me but he's also such a little sweetheart and gives hugs and kisses. I wouldn't trade him for the world.

I LOVE my hubby. I LOVE being Preston's mom. I LOVE my life.

Day 18-Plans/dreams/goals you have

Well I have a LOT of plans, dreams and goals. I'm a planner...I go crazy when things aren't planned, i really try hard to think things through. And I'm also a dreamer. I dream all the time on things I want and where I want to go and blah blah blah. But when it comes to goals I'm not so good. I do really good and making them but I don't always follow through. So I'm a work in progress on that one because by golly I really do have a LOT of goals I want/need to accomplish. Maybe this next year is THE year...and I'll actually cross a few things off my list. Okay so I'm gonna make a few short lists...

Plans
  • Right now I'm planning Christmas. I'm just about done Christmas shopping and we are going to put up Christmas stuff tonight for family night. I have a Christmas story to read to Preston every night of December and I'm trying to figure out what kind of Traditions I want to start with my little family. Any good ideas that your family does?
  • I'm also in Beehives now :) and I get to start planning lessons and mutual activities! I love this calling.
  • I just started planning a trip to Utah after Christmas so we can spend time with my family again before a new school semester starts. Hopefully it works out!
 Dreams
  • I've always wanted to be a mom. And I love being a mom to my sweet Preston. But lately I'm dreaming of being a mom again. I can't wait for our little family to grow.
  • I want a big beautiful house. Oh man I dream of houses. This one is a beauty...I'm in love.

  • I dream of vacations. I think this is partly due to the fact that we aren't able to take any and if we do it's to the same old places. I really want to travel the world. But I really want to take my kids with me. I want us all to experience new cultures and see those things together. And then when all my kiddos are out of the house I want to serve missions. LOTS of missions.
  • I also dream of the day that I can be in the Temple with every single one of my children. What a beautiful thing that would be. I hope and pray for it.
Goals
  • Me and Spenc are going to not eat anything fatty or bad for us. We are going to see how it will affect us...physically but emotionally too. I really just want to be as healthy as I can. Really take an extra effort in knowing what I'm really eating.
  • I want to run more. And go to the gym 5 times a week. I've made this goal a million times...but i really want to stick to it this time!
  • And since we have gorgeous weather lately I want to take Preston to a park or on a walk everyday. He loves being outside.
  • Study the scriptures everyday. Not just read but really study.
  • Go to the temple a LOT more. I really want to try for once a week early early in the morning but if I make it there twice a month I will be happy :)
  • Do something nice for my hubby at least once a week.

Thanksgiving Weekend...

Did this weekend just fly by for you too? Gosh I've been looking forward to this weekend since this summer and it just came and went in a split second. My family was able to come here to the valley and stay with us for Thanksgiving. It was so much fun to have them here and Preston just loved having them stay at our house. I really am so sad that they are already gone. I really wasn't good at taking pictures this weekend...I was just so into spending time with my family ( since it is a rare occasion these days ) that I totally forgot to take pictures. But I ended up taking a few of our weekend...none of Thanksgiving...I know I'm such a slacker!

We went out to eat with my Grandparents, we actually spent Thanksgiving over at their house this year

We were all trying to get Preston to smile haha

We also went bowling with My Uncle Saul and Aunt Kristy and their boys...It was a lot of fun! The cute little boy in the front is Braiden...he was such a sweetie and played with Preston...we just wish we could have taken him home with us!

It was SO much fun to have them here...I can't wait until were all together again! I love them all SO MUCH!

Day 17-Someone you would want to switch lives with for one day and why

I know this is probably so boring but I'd honestly just like to switch lives with Spenc. We have arguments because I think we both feel like the other one has it easy. He always asks me what I did today in a tone that means he thinks I did nothing but blog or something. When really I have a boy who is FULL of energy and I do have other responsibilities other then just the things he wants me to get done. And I feel like he sits at a computer desk and takes 2 hour lunches with his family and yummy restaurants and laugh and have a good old jolly time. When he says that's not always the case. I just think it would be good for us to switch so we have a better appreciation what the other does. Because by golly I know he wouldn't say taking care of Preston is "easy" or "Not tiring". Just wait until we have more little Preston's running around!

Day 15-Put your ipod or shuffle on-first 10 songs that play

Okay so I don't have an Ipod or shuffle or anything like that. I know...they came out like 5 years ago...maybe longer, but I still have not gotten one. I'd actually kinda like one to use for working out and I have an ipod player here at home that I'd love to use but my hubby takes his ipod to work with him so its pretty much useless to me. I'm stuck listening to the dumb radio while I do my dishes...its sad I know. Poor poor me hahaha. Anyways since I can't participate in this Day 15 challenge I decided I'd do 10 things I'm thankful for instead of 10 songs. Since Thanksgiving is like 3 days away!!! Okay here I go...

  1. I'm thankful for this guy. My father in law asked me what was surprising about marriage last night and I told him that I didn't think marriage was easy all the time.haha. I think I thought that we would like all the same things and do everything together and la la la. But that just isn't how it is. And even if it's not "easy" or how I want it to be, it is SO worth it. I can not picture my life without this man in it. And even though I hate to admit it but I actually like that we are different.
  2.  And this little guy... I can't even begin to express how  much I love being a mom. Especially a mom to him. I can't   wait have more babies running around. I just love how much  energy he has. He is just hilarious and SO much fun! He has a personality that just draws you in...I have a feeling that this boy is going to have a TON of friends. I love you buddy.

3. I'm thankful the The Church of Latter Day Saints. I'm SO very thankful for my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I'm thankful for the power of the Atonement and that I can repent for my sins. I love this church and I know without a doubt its true. I can't express how Thankful I am for my "Forever Family". No death till we part for us!!

4. I'm thankful for my Home. I love where we live, the neighborhood and our ward is perfect. If we end up staying in the valley long term then I won't live anywhere else, I LOVE this location.

5. I'm thankful for my health and my family's health. Spenc is still recovering but we have been lucky so far with all of us staying pretty healthy. And I hope we can stay this way throughout the winter.

6. I'm SO thankful for my Mom and Dad and my siblings. Gosh I wouldn't trade my family for anything in the world. They are so fun and funny and I just love them all to pieces.

7. I'm so thankful for my hubby's family. I truly married into a great family. I'm so thankful for all the help and the friendships that I now have. I'm so lucky.

8. I'm thankful for the Holidays. I love the spirit and love that the holidays bring with it. I'm almost done with Christmas shopping and I'm so grateful that I can just enjoy the holidays this year.

9. I'm so thankful for the gorgeous weather we are having right now. It is perfect outside. I LOVE it.

10. I'm thankful that Spencer and I both have some amazing friends.

I have SO many blessings and SO much to be Thankful for. I am one Lucky girl that is for sure :)

Day 14-A picture of you and your family

The most recent picture I have of "My" family is this...but we've grown since then.

Corinne married Justin and is prego with their first baby boy! She's due in march and we are SO excited!

And of course there is our little Preston! He likes wearing Spencer's hats haha!

Day 13-A letter to someone who has hurt (annoy) you recently

Dear Vacuum Cleaner,

You are really getting on my nerves. You are heavy and old and now you are failing to do the one job that you were made to do...suck up dirt and fuzzies off my floor! I've changed your "bag", changed the band and now you won't rotate. I'm taking you in to the Kirby doctor and if  you aren't fixed after that then its over between us. Our relationship hasn't always been the best but if you would please fix without costing me a bundle I think we can rekindle our friendship. Thanks!

Classic...

We took the classic baby in the dryer picture yesterday. Preston thought it was pretty dang cool to be in there. He wanted me to shut the door and he'd knock and then I'd open it and he'd laugh and laugh. He's so fun!

After we were done with that I had to put the clean clothes away and Preston was standing on my rocker trying to reach for the x box controller. He couldn't reach...

haha I can't help but laugh at that face.

Day 12-How you found out about blogger and why you have one

I didn't know about blogger until my friend Brandi told me about hers and I got on to look. I loved how even though I lived far away from her I could still see how big her cute little babies were getting and what was going on in her life. I love how easy it is to keep in touch with friends and family now. I now use my blog as a journal and print it out in a book at the end of each  year since I don't write in a personal journal. Plus this journal has pictures!!! Even better :)

T.V. Time...

Preston now has a few favorite shows on tv, I do limit our time on the tv but it is such a life saver when I'm trying to get something done that REALLY needs done or even to just have time to get ready for the day haha. Well I needed to cook dinner and Spenc wasn't home yet. Preston wanted to sit in a laundry basket so I made it comfy with a pillow and some milk and he watched his show in it

It was different and fun for him and I could still cook dinner :) I love this boy

Bored - Something like Tegan and Sara Something I know all the words to and I can just sing along!

Happy - Um I could listen to just about ANYTHING when I am happy but listen to this Song from the Dear John album...I love it :)

Sad - I like to listen to something Inspiring and Uplifting when I am feeling down, My mother in law sings a song on Hope that I really do love.

Mad - I like to listen to old classics ( maybe just old to me ) but punk stuff i used to listen to in highschool like Yellowcard and the Juliana Theory

Hyped - Umm this is when I'm going to work out or something and I usually listen to rap stuff, I don't know why but I like T.I.

More fun...

I had some more pictures from Spencer's birthday but they were all of Preston haha. We ended up going to Nelsons for lunch and Preston fell asleep before we even got there. I figured he'd wake up when I got him out of the car but that wasn't the case. He was snoozin...even when I laid him down on the seat ( he never does that ). He must have been one tired baby!

He's getting so big that he practically took up the whole seat, I can't believe how fast he is growing! But after we left we stopped by a park before we went home...

It was such a good day. We LOVE when Spenc is able to stay home and play with us. Why does he need to work anyway haha! Preston just adores his Dada!

Day 9-Something you're proud of in the past few days

I am proud to be called as the new Beehive adviser! Yes I got a new calling in church and I am seriously excited that I have the privilege to to work with the Young Women in our ward. For those of you who don't know what a beehive adviser is, I will be working with the 12 and 13 year old girls in our ward - teaching them on sundays, helping with personal progress, and going to mutual with them on Wednesday nights. We have 15! beehives in our ward and I can't wait to be able to get to know each one individually. I was able to meet a few this last Wednesday and they are adorable and the leaders I will be working with are amazing! I kinda feel like they will probably teach me more than I could ever teach them but I'm sure that's why the Lord helped in getting me this new calling. Hopefully I can be an example and light to them...and hopefully they will like me!!! Because I already love them!

Spencer is 25!!...

A Happy Birthday to My Love...

Yes my sexy hubby turned the big 25! Wow he is getting kinda old...haha how come time just keeps getting faster the older you get? Anyways I just wanted to let him know how much he means to me and Preston. He is my world, my best friend, amazing dad and the greatest  husband. I seriously don't know how I got so lucky. I take for granted sometimes all he does for us but he does so much and always has so much on his plate but seems to be able to pull everything off giving it all 100%. I'm so proud of all he does and I'm so proud to be his wife.

Spencer's parents took us all out for Joe's BBQ tonight to celebrate...it was dang good. And if you didn't know...you can get 10.00 worth of food for free on your birthday!

Ron and Debbie are always so good about making sure we all have a cake on our birthdays...Spencer requested a mud pie...mmm...it was good even know I really should have skipped that haha.

Preston and I love you SO much Spencer. Hope you had a good birthday babe!

2. Do something active everyday

3. Finish my Christmas shopping

4. Keep my house clean everyday - i seriously HATE when my house is dirty

I'm sure there is more but this is good for now :)

Day 7-A picture of someone/something that has the biggest impact on you

( This is us on Monday - we ran across the street to bashas to get a few things, the weather is perfect right now and it felt so good to get out and run )

Right now Preston definitely has the biggest impact on me. And I'm sure it will be that way until my kids are all grown up and out of the house. Preston has really made me grow up and helped me to not be the selfish girl that I know I was. My days consist of keeping this little guy happy, healthy, loved, educated ( were working on some words - we've added ya, go and no to our list of words so now were up to 6 words :) Sometimes I miss being able to just go and do what I want to do but I can honestly say that being a mom has made me more happy then I've ever been. I wouldn't trade my life right now for anything in the world. I love you Preston and I love being your mommy!

Day 6-Favorite super hero and why

Elastigirl. This woman has got it pulled together. She is all about her family and keeping it intact. She knows when to be sweet and when to be tough, and she can use her body to do practically anything. That's what moms do, right?

Monday, November 8, 2010

Day 5-A picture of somewhere you've been to

I don't have any pictures of some of the places I've been...I think the farthest I've been is Canada and I've been on a cruise to Mexico but I don't have any of those pics SO I have a picture of us at the "Highest Toilet in Arizona "....Enjoy! :)

Our Weekend...

Spencer went racing in California this weekend. Usually this means me and Preston are stuck bored at home but that wasn't the case this time! We were SO dang busy all weekend and we had SO much fun! Thursday we met Corinne and Ryan at the mall and played and did some shopping and then that night I met up with my friend Elena and we went to dinner and to a few stores. Friday I introduced Jani to my one of my favorite places Cafe laguna and then we made me a SUPER cute fall wreath ( I'll post pictures tomorrow on my craft blog ) and then that night Corinne came over for a sleepover. Saturday we went to the Wildlife World Zoo and then that night we made Corinne a wreath like mine because she loved it so much. We had so much going on and this weekend was such a good one :). Here are some pictures from the zoo!

Preston just wanted to touch every animal

It was a pretty perfect day yesterday...weather was in the 80's, when we were in the sun it was a little warm but not bad at all.

Preston LOVED that he could just run around and look at the animals

Preston fed the ducks...he thought it was hilarious to throw the food at them haha

Me and Corinne at the wildlife show...Preston HATED the show...he didnt want to sit still and he threw a fit the whole time :(

Preston with the deer...see how he is trying to get my hand to let him go...i think he would have jumped on the deer if he could

Cute picture of Aunt Corinne and Preston

This was so funny...we were trying to pet the stingrays and one came up fast to preston and scared him to death

We had a lot of fun...i would say the petting zoo and feeding the ducks were prestons favorites though!

Day 4-A habit that you wish you didn't have

I think my worst habit would have to be biting my nails. I wish SO bad I had cute hands but my fingers look so ugly because my nails are all bitten off. I used to get acrylic nails but had to stop because we couldn't afford them. Hopefully I'll be able to get them back on someday because this is just something I can't stop doing...I've tried and tried.

Friday, November 5, 2010

Day 3-A picture of you and your friends

I don't have a picture with lots of friends in it so I just compiled some pictures in a collage...here are some of my friends...I love them all but i know i'm missing a few...if i am missing you then we probably need to take a picture together haha!

Day 2-The meaning behind your Blog name

 SpencerandChelseaCoonFamily

It's more informational than anything...just in case somebody forgets whose blog they're reading. :)

Day 1-Recent picture of you and 15 interesting facts about yourself

  1. I wear lounge clothes ALL the time. I will change ( most of the time ) if I leave my house but if I'm home I will change back into my comfy clothes. I got this from Spencer...as soon as he gets home he's in basketball shorts.
  2. I pretty much taught myself to sew. My grandmas showed me a little but I really learned from trial and error by myself. I still have a TON to learn.
  3. I want to write a book. I have dreams about writing a book on parenting and being a mother.
  4. I'm happiest at home. I'm a homebody and love just spending time with my little family.
  5. I think about decorating my house constantly. There are SO many projects I wish I had the money to just do. I think there is always something I'll want to change.
  6. I LOVE to travel and vacation. Going somewhere new excites me and I wish I could travel the world. I'd like to take my kids with me and we could all learn of new cultures together. Someday...Someday...
  7. I used to love scary movies and now I HATE them
  8. I'm a beauty school drop out. But I know how to do just about everything so I can always do my family's hair but I just hated doing anyone else's. I never had good experiences with hair stylists on my hair ( they always messed it up ) and I was afraid of being that person so I quite.
  9. I wish I would have taken photography classes before I had Preston. I LOVE taking pictures especially of him and I wish I had to skills to take pictures for others every once in a while. I still think I may take some classes when I have more time and money.
  10. I have a hard time finishing projects. I get SO excited to start something new and I have so much fun at the beginning but towards the end I seem to always get bored and it takes me forever to finish things.
  11. I love the rain and cloudy days. I could seriously live somewhere where it rains everyday. The smell is my all time favorite smell.
  12. I'm trying to be a better cook. Cooking things from scratch and eating a lot more healthy. I'm still learning...
  13. I don't ever get tan. My skin is either white or red. It's not fair.
  14. I'm a planner and plan out everything in my head before doing anything. It doesn't always go out as planned but I try.
  15. I always think about the good and not the bad. I like to think that everything will be fine and work out while my husband worries. This drives him crazy.
