Thirsty...

If I forget to close the baby gate to the kitchen, then Preston thinks its a free for all and he certainly thinks that whatever is in reach is totally his. I guess he was thirsty...

Good thing the jug wasn't full...

His "Uh, Oh Am I in trouble" face...

"Don't worry Mom, I'll put it back" haha...your wondering where he learned that? Well..I'll give you a hint...it wasn't me!

Preston misses...

I think Preston is starting to notice that he doesn't see some of the people he knows very often. The other day it was unusually quite while I was running from room to room picking things up. I called out for Preston and heard nothing...so I went looking and found him here...

He's got a green bucket of books on the side of his crib. He found the book that his Grandma Bigelow had gotten him with their pictures inside. He was pointing to grandma and making sad faces. I told him that we would see her soon and he got a big grin on his face. I think someone misses his Grandma!

Then he decided he had enough reading for one day and came to...

Attack his Mama! LOVE this boy :)

Easter 2011...

We had a wonderful Easter this year. It started with the traditional Easter basket for Preston and then I made some tasty crepes. I had never made crepes before but they were super yummy if I do say so myself. I made it all by scratch, homemade crepes, whip cream, strawberry syrup and lemon cream cheese filling. YUM!

Then we headed off to church...the meetings were especially good. :) After we got home and Preston took a nap, we did a little Easter egg hunt for Preston in our backyard. He caught on quick and had fun finding all the eggs!

After we were done finding our eggs we ran over to Rob and Nikis house for a pot luck dinner. Of course being with family + good food always ends up a good time :). When we got home we had a little teaching moment with Preston, telling him all about the true meaning of Easter. He sort of listened haha. All in all it was a wonderful day.

Kites...

Yesterday was a fantastic Saturday. That morning Preston helped Spencer with the yard work and even went over to Ron and Debbies to help him with that yard too. So I was able to clean my house, go to the gym, get some groceries, and get ready without being interrupted. It's amazing how much faster I can do things when I'm by myself haha. After Preston woke up from his nap ( around 5 ) we went and picked up costa vida to-go and took it to the park. We also brought our kite, it was the Perfect day to fly a kite.

Mmmmm...sweet pork burritos! I love that Preston eats what we eat...he helps me eat all my food :)

And of course we got our kite stuck in a tree...after we got it out we moved a little further down the hill to a really big open grassy field, it was a perfect kite flying spot!

Preston did really good flying the kite too :) Such a big boy...

My handsome boys...by the way Preston hates taking pictures now, I have no idea why but he's mad at me every time I try to take one. He best get over that here REALLY soon haha.

I tried taking a picture with him but he of course was WAY more interested in that kite up in the air :)

At least my super sexy hubby wanted to take a pic with me! Gosh I love him SO much!

Oh and by the way Happy Easter! We've got some fun plans for today...Can't wait!

#7- The dress...

Was it what you always imagined? did you have it made for you? white or ivory?

I LOVED my dress. I think it was me and it fit me perfectly. I actually ended up shopping at one place and found it and I just knew it was the one. I'm not a totally over the top kind of person so I didn't want anything too poofy or different. Somebody once told me to not go too trendy or in 20 years I will look super silly. I remember Spencer's Aunt Niki telling me a few months after we got married that her girls said I looked liked a princess...how cute and sweet are they!

Funny thing about my dress - As we were getting ready to leave the reception, Spencer stepped on my dress and ripped the sash off! I was pretty bummed and still to this day have not fixed it...I haven't even dry cleaned my dress. I'm a slacker.

#6- the colors...

Show some of the flower and colors you used

My all time favorite flower is the water lily. So I used water lilies everywhere. We did have a few fill in flowers in some of the bigger bouquets to give it more color but mostly I just wanted the lilies!

My colors for the wedding were white, black, and green ( the same green as the stems from the water lilys ) Green is also my favorite color so it just had to be added haha. Luckily Spencer really didn't care about any of the details of the wedding so I got to do pretty much whatever I wanted.

The boys cuts...

Aren't they cute!? Preston was really against taking a picture this morning so this is the best we got. I usually cut Preston's hair with the scissors so its not as short but he is just too wild lately. So I used the same lengths I do with Spencer's hair and did Preston's too so they are matching. I think Preston looks a ton older. Still super cute though...

Back to the dark side...

I FINALLY got my hair done and boy does it feel soooooo much better! I know that normally you go lighter in the summer but I have missed my dark hair so much so I went back dark.

And I really do love it...So does my hubby ;).

We are actually a family of new hair styles this week. I cut Spencer and Preston's hair on monday and I did the same cut so they are matching :). Spencer is gone so when he gets home I'll take a picture of them together so you can see. They are the cutest boys EVER.

#5- Engagement/bridal pictures...

Let's see em!

These are some engagement pictures...we actually didn't have a real photographer take them and I so wish we would have. They aren't the cutest haha and our announcements didn't turn out how I imagined but... what can you do!!! haha

And here are some Bridal pictures :) thankfully we did have a photographer this time haha. I really do like a LOT of our pics but here are just a few!

#4- The ring...

Tell us about it! did you pick it out? did he? pictures! tell us about his ring too!

I actually had no input on the ring he chose. He never asked and I don't think we ever talked about it. I think my ring reflects a lot on who Spencer is and that's why he chose it. It's simple, clean, but the diamond is close to perfect. I really do love the ring and I love that Spencer chose it by himself. I do think though that someday I'd like to put my own little touches on it :).

The funniest part about the rings was that when I was out looking for Spencer's he definitely had a say on what he liked and didn't like. It was so stressful trying to find something i thought he would like...but luckily he liked the one I chose :).

#3- Proposal...

How it happened, how long were you engaged for? was it a total surprise? pictures of that... etc.

Oh the proposal...haha. I wasn't surprised that he was asking but the way he asked was certainly surprising. Lets go back in time just a bit...I moved to the valley when they started putting up camera tickets. I had NO clue what the crap they were at first. Well I might have had a little speeding problem...and by the time we were talking about getting married I had 3 unpaid tickets under my belt. Well it was Saturday June 9, 2007 when he proposed. We were on our way to a "special" surprise place when Spencer was pulled over. He asked for Spencers license and registration and then asked for my license! I almost pretended like I didn't have it but I decided not to lie in front of the guy I liked haha! He came back and asked me to step out of the car. He then hand cuffed me and Spencer started getting mad and asking him what the crap was going on. He told Spencer he had better be quiet and then took me to the back seat of the cop car. He started doing things with the computer and then asked me if I wanted him to go tell Spenc to follow us to the station to bail me out...I don't think I had ever said yes faster. So he went to talk to Spencer. Spencer came back and as I was looking at him through the window with BARS he said " You know, I can get you out of this", then he opened the car door and got on one knee and said " But you gotta marry me first". Of course I said YES. We were engaged for a total of 2 months haha!

He's such a clever guy haha. I told the story in a talk when we first moved into our ward now and for a while when people couldn't remember who I was they would be like "oh your the one that was arrested" haha yes that's me! It was memorable that's for sure!

#2- When you knew he was the one...

Self explanatory.. but how and when did you know?

Well like I said in my last post...I was determined to get out of Idaho. I didn't feel like I should be there at that time and I had a weird uneasy feeling that I needed to leave. When I got to Arizona that feeling didn't just disappear, I still didn't really know what I was doing. In Highschool I dated one boy for a while and I really thought he was the one, it turned out ( as it usually does for kids dating in highschool ) that he wasn't the "one". I dated in Idaho, a lot, and nothing came out of those dates...I didn't feel anything for any of those guys. Then I came back to Arizona and started dating again. I didn't go on a date with Spenc until a month or so later. I remember feeling giddy and having that butterfly feeling in my stomach every time I heard his name, he called, or if Id get a text from him. When I was with him I totally forgot about anything else. And that uneasy feeling went away...I was happy and I finally felt like I was where I was supposed to be. After our first kiss I think it was non stop for us and I just wanted to be with him constantly. And we were...and forever will be.

Spencer wasn't planning on getting married until he was 25. haha he didn't even make it a year after his mission. When you know, you know. He's 25 this year...with our second baby on the way. I sure hope he's glad about not waiting haha! I sure do LOVE my hubby.

This pic was taken on our first trip to Show Low to meet my parents :)

#1- How it all began...

How we met, first date, first kiss, how long did we date? First picture together...etc

Okay so I told the story of how we met and our first date a little over a year ago on my blog...if you didn't read it go HERE.

Our first kiss was like 7 dates into our relationship. We were at my friends apartment ( where I was living at the time ). We decided to watch a movie ( I have no clue what movie it was ) but I started looking at my split ends...Spencer pretended to not know what a split end was so I found one to show him. Then he leaned in for the kiss. Split ends aren't so bad after all :)! It was obviously magic because we were addicted to kissing each other after that haha.

We dated from February to June 2007 when we got engaged.

This isn't our "first" picture taken, a lot of my pics are on our laptop but this was one of our firsts haha. This was on a trip to Greer with his family :).

New Blog Challenge...

Okay so one of my friends is doing this new blog challenge and I just had to do it cause the questions are so fun and perfect to document in my blog. Since I am using this as a journal and because I didn't have a journal when me and spenc were dating or getting married, I wanted to get all this stuff written down before I start to forget!

tadaaaa!!! how fun does this blog challenge sound?? So I'll be answering these questions on days when I have nothing else to say haha. You should do it too! This is a challenge that would be so fun to read about :)

Goodbye Weekend...

My parents had to leave early this morning. Gosh I wish we all lived closer...goodbyes are never fun. But we did have such a good time while they were here. Kamdens blessing turned out awesome on Sunday, after the blessing we had a picnic at the park and that was so fun. Then yesterday we just went shopping a little and had a BBQ/pool party at my sisters apartment, we had the whole pool area to ourselves and it was great! Then we headed over to our house to play poker and watch Nacho Libre haha!

I was bad at taking pics...I only have a few of yesterday.

We miss you guys already!

Early Birthday Party...

Preston's birthday isn't until May 2nd but because my family is here from Utah for Kamden's blessing we decided to do one early so that they could celebrate with him. We decided to just do it at Peter Piper Pizza. I didn't know how much Preston was going to LOVE that place. He had such a good time.

Funny thing about the cake is that I totally forgot about one. I don't know where my mind has been lately but who has a birthday party with no cake? Luckily there was a Fry's next door and me and Corinne ran over really quick and got one. It tasted pretty good for a store bought cake haha.

And then we opened presents...he got some REALLY fun stuff. My parents got him a basketball hoop and he has played it non stop and his shot has gotten so good! Justin and Corinne got him more blocks which he has also loved ( we only had a few blocks so we were very limited on what we could make but now we can make a ton of things! ) And my grandparents got him a really fun truck and my Aunt and Uncle got him another basketball! He was thrilled! And his birthday isn't even over yet...we'll have a Coon birthday party on his real birthday!

Thanks to all who came...we appreciate it and I know Preston had a blast! Birthday's are the BEST!

Zonked...

We've been busy and this weekend will be even more busy. My family is coming here from Utah and we are so excited to see and spend time with them. We are having an early birthday party for Preston tomorrow and then Corinne and Justin are blessing Kamden on Sunday. My family is staying until Tuesday morning so we will have all day Monday to hang out too! It will be fun!

Today I am just mopping my floors, scrubing the bathrooms and paying the bills...not so fun haha. I have Preston's sheets in the dryer and they just got done so I gotta run and make his bed!

Poor baby couldn't wait for the dyer to be done and zonked out on the couch...

Bump Watch - Week 15

Yesterday I had another appointment and got to hear our baby's heartbeat. This time it beat at 150, doctor says that's right in the middle and its perfect :). I'm also measuring perfectly to 15 weeks, so due date is staying the same! We could find out if we are having a Boy or Girl in 3 weeks but I have a check up in 4 weeks so I opted to just doing them both on the same day. So were waiting 4 weeks to find out what were having. I am anxious but I think its different with your 2nd. I don't think I could have waited an extra week with Preston maybe because he was the first and everything was just too exciting. Not that this baby isn't exciting, because we totally are...its just different I guess. Probably because I have Preston to keep me on my toes and occupy my mind haha. But May 3rd is the day were finding out ( the day after Preston's 2nd birthday ).

We obviously didn't have another ultrasound yesterday so no new pictures BUT if we did I know that they would have been precious haha. And in case you were wondering, our baby is the size of a...

apple this week! I have already felt some movement, I think he/she is doing flips in there or something haha.  Well I don't have any pictures of me...I'm in that adorable stage of not looking pregnant, just a little bump that looks more like I'm just fat. Its lovely :). Next time I promise lots more pictures ( you'll have to wait until May though ). Oh and morning ( actually night ) sickness has gotten a TON better, thank goodness!

We LOVE you our sweet baby #2!!!

Cute in a diaper...

Lately its warm. Real warm...like hot warm haha. I feel like I may be slacking a little but Preston rarely has clothes on when we are home...sometimes its just a diaper and other times he may have a shirt on. And when he wants to play outside its sunscreen, shoes, and a diaper haha.

Of course if we go anywhere I will at least get him dressed. So I was thinking the other day about how easy boys are. He just needs be somewhat clean and have cute matching clothes on to look cute ( we don't even need to comb his hair most of the time ). It helps that he's adorable without me doing anything though ;).

General YW Meeting...

Last Weekend I was able to attend the General Young Women Meeting. This is a meeting for Young Women and their Moms and the Youth Leaders :).  And since I am a leader I got to go and I am SO glad I did. These meetings always have special meaning to me and touch my heart so deeply. I have to try REALLY hard not to cry when I think about what I could have been. I wasn't always a good example and there are a few points in my life that I regret and wish so bad I could go back in time and be a better friend and stand for truth and righteousness. I have a VERY strong testimony of this church, I know its true and that real happiness comes from living the gospel everyday, serving others, and trying to live how Christ lived. I feel like our Heavenly Father knew how badly I wanted and needed the Young Women Program back in my life. I feel like its only been a few years since I was supposed to be there and I can make up for some lost time. Gosh I love the girls I am working with and I hope and pray I can be someone they can look up to.

As I was sitting there watching, I noticed how many Young Women and their Mothers were there. I was so proud of how many of my beehives I saw...there is so many things that they could have chosen to do on a Saturday but they were there and so were their great Mothers. I'm so grateful to know that there is a lot of good in the world, it scares me to think about what I'm going to have to raise my children in but then I think about the church and what a HUGE support it is. I can't wait to be sitting there in those meetings with a daughter of my own.

They played this video during the conference...it makes me cry every time i watch it.

We watched conference this weekend and there was so much i loved that was said. I'll share some of my favorite parts later in the week :)

Oh and if your interested in reading an awesome blog post about raising girls then go HERE. I agree with everything she said. In this day and age its getting harder for girls ( and boys as well ) and I think we as Mothers have got to be stronger.

TGIF...

Yesterday was the official "I'm gonna be a mess" day. Not only did Preston spill water and milk on the floor, empty the bag of goldfish on the floor, break a glass cup on the tile...he also poured his bowl of cereal on top of his head. I decided ( or should I say baby #2 decided ) that Jimmy Johns was not the lunch of choice and we had to spend the rest of the afternoon getting rid of it. And while that was happening ( 1 out of the 100 times it did happen yesterday ) I had just let Preston out back to play. I had forgotten that I left the gate open so when I went outside to get him he was out front in my driveway. GAVE ME A HEART ATTACK. Needless to say...I am SO glad yesterday is OVER and today is FRIDAY. It's gonna be a better day...I can feel it :).

One of the good things that happened yesterday though was around 7pm. I was starting to feel better and Preston was all clean and freshly bathed. I had to whip up some cookies for Spenc to take to his home teaching families and Preston sat on the counter and helped me.

Of course helping meant licking all the dough off of the blender whisks. :).

Thank Goodness Its Friday! I'm so excited for Conference this weekend...I love a good lazy, relaxing, inspirational weekend plus good food. Hmmm....what should I make!?
