Our spur of the moment trip...

On Thursday I found out that I had won a seat at the frugality boot camp in Utah. Do you guys follow the blog funcheaporfree.com? It's awesome and I really wanted to go to this conference. Well lucky enough I won ( the person who first won backed out so that's why it was so last minute).. I debated all day Thursday if I was going to go or not. I'd drive to flagstaff with spenc that night and then the rest of the drive by myself on Friday. Well with Preston's non stop begging to go see Grammy and papa I decided to just do it. I'm SO glad I did. My kids were angels on Friday. We left that morning at 830 and didn't stop once until beaver. They went about 5 1/2 hours without crying or complaining once. They took naps and just played and talked. It was AMAZING. The last few hours were the same, good sleepy babies. I was so blessed. Well my parents ended up being evacuated that day because of a big fire on the mountain behind their house. So we went to my aunt and uncles house that night. That morning my mom, lylah and I went to the conference and my dad, Courtney and Preston went fishing. We all had such fun good days! We also got to return to my parents last night which was great.

FPIES...

We are finally figuring things out with our sweet Lylah girl. I took her to a Food Allergy Specialist and we are pretty certain she has " Food Protein Induced Enterocolitis Syndrome ( FPIES)". So far she has had bad reactions to rice cereal, oatmeal, and puffs. Anything grainy. So she has to stay away from anything of the sort until she is tested again at 2 years old. So no cake on her first birthday, no breads or crackers. She can have only fruits, veges, potatoes, and lentils and then when she is 1 we will test her on dairy ( a lot of time dairy is a problem too ). Most of the time their allergies will go away when they are about 3 but its not always the case. It is a very rare syndrom and there aren't answers to everything and so all I can do is research and hope that hers will pass. I just feel so bad for her and wish I could make it all go away.

This was what her back looked like when they had tested her :(

I know this is a rare thing, but if you or if anyone you know has had to deal with this and has any advice I would love to hear it :).

Courts Trip - Sagauro Lake...

On Wednesday Spencer took us girls and babies to the lake. I felt really bad because I almost ruined the trip and made the whole beginning of our day just hectic, scary and stressful. You see I have never pulled anything ( truck and trailer ) nor have I driven a boat very much in my life ( maybe once or twice ). So when Spencer asked if I could park the car and the boat trailer after dropping them off at the dock I thought I could do it. I wanted to prove that I was cool or something. Well I passed up all the spaces, they didn't look big enough and had cars parked way to close and I ended up going where cars with trailers shouldn't go. I thought about turning around but I didn't have room with the trailer behind me and I don't know how to maneuver the trailer to where I want it to be. I was stuck and I was freaking out. Just then I look out to the lake and I see Spenc on the boat and I hear him yell to me "STAY THERE!". Ya I totally didn't feel cool anymore...totally just proved myself to be a failure. Well Spenc told me to go down to the boat and drive it to the dock and he'd meet us there after he got the car unstuck and parked. Remember that I've only driven the boat like once? Well I got on and had to try and remember how to even make it go. Well after my sisters pushed us off the dock i tried to move it but got it going a little faster then I thought and we turned quick and nailed the dock with the back of the boat. Seriously? What else could I screw up? Theres a big scratch where I hit it.  I was freaking out and just about to tears. I was shaking as I was trying to drive it over to the dock and I pretty much never wanted to drive a stupid boat ever again. After Spenc got in the boat he noticed the boat wasn't running well and then noticed he forgot to put the plug in. Water was filling up where the engine is and he freaked out. Luckily he was able to put the plug in and drained the water. It was pretty much a nightmare to say the least. After everything, Spencer was surprisingly still calm and wasn't upset at me. We decided to try and make the rest of the day fun. We tubed and wakeboarded and it ended up being a fun day. Thank Goodness!

Courts trip - Basha...

On Tuesday we decided to go to the Basha pool center. I had a LOT more fun then I thought. Just the thought of 2 babies at the pool was stressing me out. I decided to go because Court was here and could help me but learned that I could probably do it by myself. We got Preston a life jacket and he's now tall enough to walk around and get to the slides himself. He had a blast and loved the freedom he had in the water. I can't tell you how many times he went down those slides! Lylah wasn't sure of the water at first ( of course! ) but she slowly eased into and was okay with it. Kamden thought he could swim and wanted to take off all the time, I remember that stage! He loves water though and had a blast! Us girls took turns with the babes and got some sun. It was such a fun day!
