Playing with Cousins...

Preston ended up being able to play with quite a few kids while we were in Utah. He first got to see Riley! Riley is Spencer's Uncles little boy. How does that make them related? 1st Cousins once removed? haha I have no idea but I think that is what Spenc told me. 

They are only about a month or 2 apart and they played really good, of course there was some fighting over toys but it was fun to see him play and push Riley in the car. Too bad we don't live closer and they could play more often.

We also had my cousins daughter over for the weekend. Bella is probably a year older and she is such a cutie! Preston was pretty mean at first but after a while they got a long pretty good :). 

I wish I would have taken more pics of these two...Bella also has a baby brother named Jace that is sooo adorable. He is probably the happiest baby I've ever seen! 

We also got to see Spencer's Aunt Kelly's little boy Aaron one night but I didn't take any pictures of them :(. It's so fun seeing Preston play with kids around his age. He needs the practice haha.

Because I'm a dork...

I found this BLOG the other day and I was SO excited! If you really know me you know I love the Bachelor/ Bachelorette show on TV. Well if you like that show then I think you will like this BLOG...Its the Mormon Bachelor! He just barely started going on dates and because I'm the dork I am I just LOVE watching it! So I just wanted to share with all of you who may just love this BLOG too!

Basketball...

My youngest sister Courtney is an All Star when it comes to sports. She likes every sport and shes really good at every single one. Its Basketball season right now so I got to go to 2 of her games last week. Funny thing is Basketball is her least favorite but she is a starter and plays in the entire game. Unless she is close to fouling out...haha she likes foul. The first gym we were in had horrible lighting so I only got a couple of pics but her home game I got a few more. Go Court!

Courts biggest fan. It was so cute how he could spot her out on the court. 

I LOVE going to Courts games! If I was close I'd be at every single one. Softball is next and that's her favorite, she is dang good too. I wish I could see her play...

Chloe...

My parents have a little Yorkie. Her name is Chloe. And my little Preston fell in love with this dog. She is the nicest dog in the world to my little monster. He punched, kicked, threw stuff at her, tried to sit on her and tried to pick her up and she was still SO sweet. Every time we woke up in the morning or came home from whatever we did that day, Preston was overjoyed to see her. It was REALLY cute...and for a minute I thought maybe I should get him a dog...but then I thought about the dog and I felt bad for it...he tortures them. So for now, visiting dogs is what we do!

If my parents ever wanted to get rid of her...shes probably the only dog I'd take.

2011!...

Can you believe another year has passed? Seriously time goes by faster every year. These are the years that id like to sssslllooowww down. I'm happy and content with my life, I have an adorable little boy who won't stop growing up ( why won't he listen? ), and a loving husband. I need and want all the time I can get! Can I just soak this all in before Preston turns 16! Can I remember all the kisses he is so willing to give and how when he hears a noise he'll run to me quickly with the biggest blue eyes you ever saw, his mouth dropping, and his cute little voice making noises of unbelief. He's just too cute for me to handle. I wish so bad we could freeze these little moments.

I've decided this year that my goals would change just a bit. It seems that my goals consist of making myself feel better. I'm never thin enough, I'm never pretty enough, smart enough...etc. I really want to achieve self satisfaction this year. But in a different way. Last year I followed some blogs that I thought had great ideas for starting a new year and keeping it throughout the year so I'm taking on a few of those ideas :). 

1. My word for the year is "Focus". I am probably the most distracted person you will ever know. Ideas and Thoughts bounce around in my head 24/7 and I change my mind constantly. I am going to "focus" on a different word each month such as "organize" or " simplify". If I think I need more time on a certain word then I'll keep it for the next month as well. Once the month is over I'll blog about my "word" and how I've applied it in my life.

2. I'm going to do something "special" for my husband every month. I really do love this man with all my heart and sometimes I don't think I show it enough. So I'm going to go out of way to make him happy. We don't always have money so some of the things I do may be extra creative and extra cheesy but I think it will be fun! I'm going to report back here once I've completed the task each month...maybe give you ideas to spread the love! :)

3. I do want to better myself. I want to be happy with me. Do things healthier, maintain a positive attitude, and remain happy. By experience I know that serving others and challenging myself will help me with this a lot.

4. Work on learning, creative, and fun things to do with Preston. I want to take him to knew places and teach him as much as i possibly can while he's my only baby. I want to enjoy this time that I have with just him.

5. Challenge myself. Do things I think I can't or that I'm afraid to do. Whether that means try cooking completely from scratch or running a 10k. This scares me but I'm going to "Challenge" myself each month and post about. Maybe you'll get new recipes haha because cooking is something I am REALLY wanting to better myself at.

Okay well I think that is enough ( maybe too much ) for me to handle this year. But I am pumped to be able to Focus and Challenge myself in different ways. I was out of town this month so I have a lot to catch up on but I'm excited to start! Do this with me if you want!

New Years Eve...

New Years Eve morning we flew into Salt Lake City. We caught a flight at 8:30 in the morning. 

Preston fell asleep as soon as the plane was in the air and slept the entire way. It was sooo nice :). Our flight was under booked so Preston was able to have his own seat which made it really fun as well.

We arrived at about 10 am and met my mom at Baggage Claim. Preston was really excited to see her and my dad! Its so fun now that he is starting to remember them :). 

I really didn't take any more pictures of our entire New Years Eve day but we had lunch at Tucanos. Brazilian food over in Provo...it is really SO delicious! We never go to Utah and not eat there. Its a must.  Then we went to a Comedy Club over in Provo that night. We were late, so we couldn't all sit together but the show was really funny and we had a great time. They had a 10 min break half way through and Preston played on stage...he had a good time running around with another kid, laughing and falling down. 

We got home and put Preston to bed and we made some snacks and played some games and had a really fun rest of the night! We've had New Years in Utah the last couple of years and I think that its a great place to celebrate...I hope we can be there next year too :). 

Can you believe it's 2011?

We're back!...

Ya...we've been gone for like 9 days! It feels good to be home but we REALLY enjoyed our time away! I haven't put my pictures on the computer yet and I have a TON to do today so its just going to have to wait. So for now I'm just going to post those last 2 entry's of my 30 day Challenge...

Day 29- In this past month, what have you learned?

I really just learned that I love my life. I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. I couldn't be happier with my little family and I don't think I could live without them. Life is good. :)

Day 30- Your favorite song

Lately my favorite song is the Taylor Swift song I have playing on my blog.
