A Cheezy Mess...

Anyone want a Cheez-it?

We most definitely have enough to share. 

This is one of those not so proud parenting moments. I was sick last week, I woke up at 3:15 to take my beehives to the temple and came home and took some much needed medicine. I was tired and feeling a bit out of it. Preston was playing on the floor so I laid next to him and fell asleep. I really only slept for a few minutes when I heard some strange noise. And that is what I found....

And when I was trying to explain to him that we don't empty our food all over the living room he was just saying...Mmmmmmm Mmmmmmm with those big blue eyes. Good thing this kid is cute because I don't think I've seen a bigger mess.

My Artist...

I think this boy inherited a love of coloring from me! Yes me...I know he looks just like his daddy but by golly he is my son too. And sometimes he does things just like me. And I LOVE it. :). 

When I was little I loved to color and I would enter into coloring contests and I did win...sometimes! One time I won some cookies from a Maverick gas station. I was probably in kindergarten but I can remember that Maverick station in Tooele, Utah...winning must have made some kind of impression on me. But anyways look at this boys concentration! 

One funny thing about Preston is he hates to get his hands dirty. He is always running to me having me clean his hands. Whether its dirt from outside, his food or in this case...his markers. He was mad at me for saying that it was okay. I mean come on...i would have had to clean his hands 50 times before that beautiful masterpiece was complete :). 

All done! Don't you love baby hands!? They are just soooo cute...

We hung them up on the fridge when he was done. Isn't he an artist! I love them...he is rather proud of them too. Every time we go in the kitchen he is pointing and showing them to us. Gosh he couldn't be cuter.

Speaking of the fridge...

He decided his masterpiece wasn't quite finished yet...

Luckily I'm smart and bought WASHABLE markers...it came off in 1.2 seconds :). Gosh I love it when I'm a genius mom! But I will be putting the markers up somewhere higher this time...just in case ;)

Its Friday...

I'm actually feeling better today, my head isn't pounding and I feel like I can actually get up and put on make up. Ya the last few days I haven't even put make up on...I've been looking real cute :). Preston seems to be feeling okay too...this is a good sign.

Now that I have energy I better start getting some things done!....

Sickies...

January has turned out to be a pretty horrible month over here at our house. I caught a cold while we were in Utah that has lingered on all month...I still have it. A few days ago I had a Killer headache that I figured out was a sinus infection. Preston got stomach/diarrhea sick on Sunday, luckily this was only a day thing. But he woke up this morning to a raspy voice so now I'm thinking he may be getting this nasty cold. 

My house has suffered tremendously, its a complete mess and needs some major deep cleaning. All I could think about this morning was wishing I had money to hire a cleaning lady. I need my walls, windows, cabinets, baseboards, doors, carpet, tile and grout all deep cleaned. Not to mention someone that will follow Preston around and clean up the 567,321,000 million messes he makes every day. 

I haven't even been cooking. 2 nights ago we had Arby's and last night we had stuffed crust pizza. That's disgusting.  But every time I go into the kitchen I notice that 1. i just don't feel like cooking 2. I don't want to make a mess that i have to clean and 3. we have no grocery's.

I feel like I've been dug a hole and I'm stuck in it. I'm afraid to come out cause there is just TOO much to do and I don't feel good enough to do it. Great way to start a year right? 

my sick baby on Sunday...

My mother in law came over a couple nights ago with some natural remedies for my sinus infection. I'm hoping they start working here pretty quick or else I'm going to have to see a doctor. A doctor is my last resort...I'm so sick of spending money on doctors. We are making payments to the hospital for Spencer's last visit. It makes me sick just thinking of all the money we have to spend for 2 hours of sitting in a hospital. BLAH...Lets all hope I wake up tomorrow feeling brand new :)

Sleep Over...

Last weekend my sister slept over at our house on Friday night while here hubby was out of town. Preston loved this...so did I :). This was what Preston was doing during dinner...

"smelling" the flowers...it looks like he's going to "eat" the flowers though haha

And then he played cars...pushing them right into the spaghetti...yum :)

We got some things accomplished for Corinnes baby shower...invitations coming this week and we got her registered :). I seriously can't believe her baby will be here next month...more towards the end of the month but we are just counting the days over at my house! We LOVE babies...

Last of Utah...

Uncle Tanner really is SO good with Preston. He always plays and makes him laugh. One morning while we were there I had Preston wake Tanner up and Preston gave Tanner a kiss when he woke up haha I thought it was cute but Tanner laughed and kinda didn't know what to think. Luckily Preston is a baby and baby kisses are TOTALLY okay! :)

Us girls ( missing Corinne...we sure missed her ) we were taking some pretty funny pictures of us that night...good times! And we have some Fabulous ideas for next family pictures ;)

Katelyn and Jade! My dads cousin Shawn and him are super close and so we spend a lot of time with their family. They have daughters that are mine and Corinnes age and we had TONS of fun with them growing up. They are really are 2nd cousins but I consider them first cousins by far. I really am closer to their family then any other related family. We just LOVE them. They also have two older kids Brittany and Seth that are absolutely the sweetest! We had so much fun with them while we were there! I REALLY wish we lived closer and I REALLY wish we saw them more!

Yes we rocked "Just Dance" and it was a serious good time. Notice the dancer on the screen and then notice my moves. Ya I'm good! HA!

We couldn't leave without Tanner and Spencer playing XBOX....

As always it was a serious good time! We love spending time with family and wish we could a lot more. But as always it does feel good to be home. :)

Impressed...

I am totally impressed with my sweet hubby lately. He got a new droid phone that actually takes good pictures and he has remembered to take pictures of the things he goes and does while i am not around. So I can still document what he is up to too! While we were in Utah he went snowboarding a few times and he went shooting with my Dad and Brother.

Don't the Mountains look so pretty :) This is really close to my parents house. 

He said he really enjoyed his time up there. It looks like he had fun!
