Update on Us!...

Me and Preston flew out to Utah on tuesday to surprise my mom for her birthday! She had no idea and was in tears when she saw us. Were having tons of fun and will be gone untill Saturday April 3. I may try and do some posts while im here but if not well be back in about a week in a half.

Thanks Spenc for letting us go...we love and miss you tons!

Happy Birthday Mom!

Happy 29th ( as my mom likes to put it ) Birthday!

I totally had a few REALLY cute photos to use for this post but my stinkin desktop computer broke ( more on that another time ) but luckily i still have a few pictures saved to my laptop so I chose this one. Obviously this is my wedding day! But I wanted to dedicate this post to my wonderful Mom ( Im so lucky...cause I got the BEST one! ) My mom is honestly the greatest mom ive ever known...shes always there for me whenever ive ever needed her...shes fun and funny...EVERYONE loves her...shes stylin and super cute...the BEST grandma to Preston...great example...so caring and helpful...the list could go on and on.

Well i was trying to decide how to write this post and i was debating on doing the same thing i did for my sister courtney but listing 43 things might take me forever but dont doubt me cause I could totally list that many things...plus more. But shes almost the only one i could do that for! Well I came up with this instead...

I love you...you honestly mean so much more to me than youll ever know. I hope to be as good of a mother as you have been to me. Your a perfect example of love and of motherly service. Its funny how once you grow up and have a baby of your own you finally realize how much your mother did for you. Youve done SO much and I appreciate every little thing. You are definantly one of my very best friends and I miss you SO  much. I wish so badly we lived closer and we could hang out ALL the time. You're such a great grandma to Preston and I am so thankful for it. He loves you more than you know. I hope you have the BEST birthday and I cant wait to see you soon!!! We all LOVE you soooo much!

Car Show...

Spencer had to take some of Rons cars to Berge Ford for a car show today so me and preston went and got his favorite mexican food and brought it to him and some of the other guys there. We only stayed there for about an hour or so but preston sure did have fun playing in the mustang. He LOVES the steering wheel...of anything...he just thinks hes ready to go haha! I think he just loved all the attention he was getting by the people walking by and laughing and smiling at him and telling him how cute he was.

He could of played in there all day i think...he didnt want to get out! He was even reaching for the stick shift....smart boy haha!

I'm absolutely in L.O.V.E with these two boys.

Saguaro Lake...

I think this picture was perfect at capturing preston today at the lake. He didnt really enjoy himself...he HATED his dumb life jacket and really i cant blame him. I HATE them as well. Usually we go to a private lake (if you can even call it a lake) its really shallow and no one is ever on it and we dont make him wear the life jacket...but today we went to saguaro and he HAD to wear it. Although it did make for some pretty funny pictures...poor baby could hardley move! We really need to invest in buying one for him that maybe isnt so old...do they really still make them this puffy haha!? I think spencer wore this life jacket when he was little.. haha im joking.

He was a "natural" at driving the boat though...

I really tried to take some pictures of spencer wakeboarding but with my "dinasour" camera that takes 5 minutes to actually snap a picture and my crazy 10 month old boy I didnt take very many and the ones that I did werent the best. So these were my favorite 3...he did awesome though! Especially considering how choppy the water was. Im debating on whether i want to try and learn to wakeboard again... I tried once like 2 years ago and i sucked! Ever since then I just havent wanted to try ...but i just think it would be cool so Im kinda hoping to before I get prego again!

Im really glad we were able to go though...we didnt really get a spring break this year which totally sucks. Spencer did have off of school but everyone else he works with took the week off so spencer had "double duty" all week long so it was just like a regular week for us. Im really glad he was able to at least have today off to go to the lake and spend some time with us!

Oh and we also saw a car/boat! It was so hilarious...we pulled up to drop the boat off and this car just drove right into the water! I have never seen anything like it so I had to snap a couple of pictures! haha!

Home sick...

Tonight my hubby is having a boys night at one of his friends houses which Im totally okay with, it just has got me thinking. I really miss my friends that Ive had for years and spent so much time growing up with. I really had some AWESOME friends and its sad how ive totally failed at keeping touch. Im probably the worst ever at remembering to call people back or even text, let alone making the initiative to get together with friends. But to all of my old friends who read my blog...I miss you...and i truely hope your doing wonderfully.

I never thought id say i missed good ol' show low but i sorda do. I miss fresh air...i miss the "slow" life...i miss knowing almost everyone in town...dirt roads and trucks. It was "home" for so long and i dont even know when ill ever be there again. Its hard sometimes living here in the valley where my husband grew up...he still has all his old buddys, all his family, and everything familiar in his life that hes always had. Ive had to "adjust" and sometimes its hard. I want so badly to run to my mommys house everytime spencer is gone, I want to have "girls nights" with my friends from highschool, i wish my backyard was "woods" and i could jump on my quad and run away from it all and maybe spot an elk :). I miss camping SO bad...fishing and quad riding...smelling like camp fire and laughing with my family...my family is SERIOUSLY funny.

Im a country girl at heart and I dont think ill ever be a "valley" girl. But dont get me wrong Im VERY blessed here in gilbert arizona. The weather right now is perfect though im afraid to say that the heat is creeping up WAY too quickly. I love my new home...its perfect for us in almost every way. I LOVE having stores at my fingertips...though its not soo good at times either haha. My husbands family has been a huge blessing in our lives and its nice having them nearby. Its a perfect place for us to be while spencer is going to school and were still trying to figure things out.

Its funny how even though im PERFECTLY happy right now with my life and everyone in it, i still miss those "old" things. Memories never leave you...especially good ones. Hopefully these memories im making right now ill forever cherish and miss as the years fly by. I think its good to miss and remember the "past" sometimes...

Daddys work...

Me and Preston had to go shopping at the chandler mall today...we needed to get my mom a birthday present and preston needed some new shoes. Hes starting to move around alot and he slips alot on the tile cause all he has is socks and for a while now i havent been able to fit his chubby feet in any shoes so we went and got him "fitted" today and hes actually in a size 4 but he needs "wide" shoes haha but they fit and they look super cute! Well since we were already out that way we did a little errand for Spencer and then we went to his office to visit him.

He was kind of a mess though...he just wanted to grab all the papers and push all the chairs around so we had to be creative and we twisted him around in the chair and he played with cars. He enjoyed it though...its not very often that we get to spend time with daddy during the day :).

He sure does LOVE his daddy...and so do I!!! Thanks spenc for all you do for our little family. Were SO proud of everything you do.

P.S. - Today is my father in laws 48th birthday!!! Happy Birthday Ron! We love you so much!

Backyard Fun...

Just too cute right!?

Today was kind of a boring day for me and Preston so I decided that wed try and play in the backyard...it was a success! We took out his lion and we posed for pictures haha. I liked SO many of the pictures that i had to post almost all of them. The weather was perfect for spending it outside...i wish i could have done more projects on our yard...hopefully well be able to do more soon.

I just love my little boy!
