Late Night Swim...

Last night a little after 7pm we decided to go to one of the houses Majestic Realistate own that has a pool and go swimming. 

Preston thought it was so funny when Spencer would go all under the water...he'd try and hit his head and he'd just laugh and laugh when he'd come back above the surface.

This ball was left in the pool and it was Preston's favorite.

This was the last picture before my camera died...Yesterday was a good day...We LOVE it when we get to spend all day with Spencer...its the besssst!

Labor Day...

We ended up having a lot of fun this weekend. Late Friday night we drove up to Flagstaff to spend some time with the Coons. It was probably the only time I can remember spending more than just a night with just our family. Extended family is fun to be around too but sometimes being with only your immediate family is so nice. I think it brought us all closer and I for one had a great time! Us girls bought beads and made jewelry while the boys went golfing. Then we had a BBQ, watched movies, rode the ranger, and that night we played Texas Hold' em. We ended up leaving Sunday and spent Labor Day here in town. We slept in and went to Costa Vida for lunch...the sweet pork salad is my favorite ( my mom totally got me addicted! ) and then we went to the Sea Life Aquarium at the Arizona Mills Mall. Here are some pics!

We honestly had a great time today and ended up having a lot of fun BUT this aquarium is NOT worth what it costs to get in. Seriously take me word for it...only go if you have some major coupon deals.

Cookie Monster...

Yesterday I made cookies for Spencer's cub scouts. A little after I had to go "potty"...well I guess I had left the gate to the kitchen open and a couple minutes later Preston comes into the bathroom with chocolate face and fingers! So when I finished this is what I found...

He had reached up and grabbed a piece of cookie! 

He was so excited about it that I had to let him finish it of course! 

But instead of letting him run around the house with a chocolate chip cookie we strapped him in his seat. But he was sure happy to have that cookie...Cutest Cookie Monster I have ever seen if I say so myself!

Playing Outside...

Preston loves it outside, he'll play out there until hes completely beat red and dripping sweat. The heat doesn't faze him at all. But his mommy hates the heat...with a passion, I cant stand it and I feel like i cant breathe. Lately it hasn't been that bad outside so I decided to fill up his little pool and wed spend the afternoon outside. 

That was seriously the closest he'd get to the water. He had no interest in the pool at all...BUT he definitely wanted to play with this...

I think he's been watching someone do yard work...what do you think? I got pictures and then took the tools away...not very safe for a one year old...he threw a fit and ran here...

Hiding and playing peek-a-boo behind our tree. He's got such a personality and has to explore everything and wants to do everything by himself. He's getting too big...that's all I have to say.

Oh Preston...

Preston has really become a mess lately...he's such a climber now and can get on a lot of different things...here he is on the desk trying to use the computer haha 

And here he is hogging the remote...he won't even put it down to take a drink...he's a multitasker!

Dead Battery...

Wow our night/day just didn't turn out how we had planned. We were planning on going swimming today with some friends at the point but the hotel made them check out at 12 and kicked them out so we couldn't go :( so then we decided to just get dinner and walk around san tan mall. Preston was crazy and grouchy the whole time so we didn't stay long...Danny called us and invited us to go play poker with them and their cousins so we decided to get some ice cream at Dairy Queen and then go meet up with them. Well after we had finished our ice cream we came out and our car was completely dead...we didn't leave lights on or anything. I have no idea how it happened but it wouldn't even jump start. 

So we were stranded for about an hour before we got his dad out there to pick us up. 

We were hot and Preston was sad, tired, and grouchy...

Well they took Me and Preston home and they went to go fix the car...He's still not back...hopefully it was just the battery...

Comforting Words...

i have found an immense amount of comfort this past week
in the following verses of scripture.
so much so, i wanted to share the beautiful words with you...


"verily, verily, i say unto you, ye are little children,
and ye have not as yet understood how great blessings the Father
hath in his own hands prepared for you;
and ye cannot bear all things now; nevertheless, be of good cheer,
for i will lead you along. the kingdom is yours and the blessings
there-of are yours, and the riches of eternity are yours.
and he who receiveth all things with thankfulness shall be made glorious;
and the things of this earth shall be added unto him,
even an hundred fold, yea, more."
