4 months...

I'm going to take a break of posting about our trip to post about my sweet Lylah girl. She turned 4 months old on Sunday while we were driving home.

I seriously cant believe how big she is getting! Time just goes by too quickly. We just love this girl and her sweet personality. One of my favorite things about her is that everyone just thinks she loves them because she is so smiley and sweet to everyone. I love that! She loves all the attention and as soon as you give her some she just smiles and smiles. I weighed her yesterday and my scale says she weighs 14.4 lbs. She can fit into size 3 months to 6 months clothes. And you should see those thighs...she is just a rolly polly thing and we LOVE it. She is our favorite gal and couldn't thank our Heavenly Father enough for sending her to us!

Happy 4 months baby girl!!!

Christmas 2011...

Christmas was so fun this year. It gets more fun every year cause the kids get older and start to REALLY enjoy it. I loved seeing Prestons face when he opened his presents. I love that kids won't and try and spare your feelings when they open something they don't like. I had a present with clothes in it for Preston and he would chuck every article of clothing behind him trying to find something in there he wanted haha! Christmas fell on Sunday this year and I REALLY loved it. I wish Christmas was on Sunday every year. We woke up and let the kids open their Santa and stocking presents...

Preston got a scooter and a semi truck from Santa and his stocking was filled with airplanes, trucks, a flashlight and lots of candy. I have to note that Preston was pretty disappointed with his scooter at first. He didn't even want to get on it and me and Spenc were pretty sad but luckily he came around and liked it afterwords. All this boy is really interested in is "BIG" trucks lately. He was way excited about the Semi Truck :).

Sweet Lylah Kay got a Rapunzel doll from Santa and she got a picture book, a rattle and sunglasses in her stocking. She was pretty interested in the book and she is starting to pick things up and play a little so it was fun :).

Then we all got ready and went to Church. They had a special musical program and it was wonderful to be able to reflect on Christ and remember what this day is really all about. We took a picture when we got home of us all in our sunday dress.

After we all changed in our comfy clothes again we started opening more presents!

Preston made out like a Bandit...tons of trucks, books, race cars and more!

Lylah got LOTS of cute clothes and some stuffed animals. I loved what she got...everything looks adorable on her!

More pics of everyone and their gifts!

I think its safe to say that little Kamden loved his first Christmas! Love this little nephew!

We all pitched in and got my mom a soda stream soda maker for Christmas this year. She didn't know what to think at first but we all tried it out and that thing is awesome. The soda tastes really good and its actually better for you. No aspartame or high fructose corn syrup. My dad really loves it and I hope my mom does too!

We had Christmas dinner and we played games the rest of the day. It was a great Christmas! Loved being able to spend it with my family this year!

We're Home!!...

We just got back home yesterday afternoon from our long stay in Utah. We had such a good time but it always feels good to get home. I have grocery shopping, going through mail and paying bills, taking down and putting away christmas decor, and a TON to unpack and get organized again so I have to blog REALLY quick. Since we are so behind now on our blog I'm going to post Christmas Eve first.

We actually got to Utah about 7 am on Christmas Eve and we went straight to bed and slept a few more hours. After we finally got up, we got ready and went out to eat at Tucanos. It was delicious! We spent the rest of the evening visiting and playing games. Corinnes birthday is Christmas Eve so we of course had cake and then we also opened the traditional Christmas pj presents!

More to come tomorrow!!!

A Coon Christmas...

Since we will be with my family this year for Christmas we went over to the Coon's house last night to have an early Christmas with them. I do have to explain something about the Coons. They are incredible people and are some of the most giving people I have ever met. Last week they told us that they had invited a couple of people to our Christmas party that didn't have family to share Christmas with. When I first heard them say it I thought to myself, this isn't going to be fun...i don't want people i don't know at our Christmas party! Yes sometimes I can't believe how bratty i am. Anyways after I thought about it, I was excited to have them there. And I'm so glad they came...I could tell how much they appreciated it and it just brought in that special giving feeling that we should all have during Christmas time. They also made sure to have gifts for the 2 men they had invited over. My sister in law told me that one of them men got up in sacrament meeting last fast sunday and thanked my inlaws for all their help, love and support. They really are such special people and I'm so lucky to have them in my life. I love them so much.

We always draw names between siblings every year to get gifts...this year Spenc had Tiff and I had Alyssa and Danny had me and Tiff had Spenc. haha so we opened those gifts last night plus Ron and Debbie gave us some much needed cash! :)

Tiffany had a friend over and we finally got to meet the famous Grant. She has been having a blast with this boy and every sunday comes to dinner with stories. It's been so fun to hear all about their dates and its great to finally meet him in person. He lived up to all that Tiffany talked him up to be...he had us all laughing and was so polite and sweet. Tiff got him a present and had him open it in front of all of us...he was a good sport!

And these pajamas were an inside joke of theirs I guess...haha.

They were really cute together! We approve of Grant!

Last night was SO much fun. I'm actually sad that we are going to miss out on some of the Coon Christmas festivities this year...its hard having family live far away. I'm jealous of Dan and Alyssa having both families so close and they get to go to everything and see everyone every holiday. But I am SO excited to see my family!

Christmas from us...

For those of you who didn't get our Christmas card this year...

I really messed up and totally didn't order enough cards. I really don't know what I was thinking but next year I will be better. Spencer isn't too fond of the family picture I used either but it was the best one we had. Next year were getting family pictures done FOR SURE.

Merry Chirstmas!!! Love the Coons!

kisses...

This girl smiles every time I give her a kiss. I can't tell you how much I love her cute little personality. I was thinking last night about how excited I am that I have a little girl. I love how excited Spencer is to take Preston to do all those boyish things he likes to do and I love that I have my sweet girl to take and do all things girly with!
