Phoenix Zoo

Today was a very fun day...we went to the zoo with Corinne and the two cute little kiddos she watches, Sara and Ryan. It was a little hot today but it wasnt as bad as i thought it would be. Preston loves being outside since we NEVER go out in this valley heat so i think he really enjoyed it. It was great excercise for me too haha i was sweating, walking the whole time and either pushing the stroller or carrying him and pushing it so it was good for me for sure. Preston has slept through the night for a couple of months now but just lately hes been waking up hungry. Im not sure if hes going through a growth spirt or what but i decided id try and give him rice cereal just at night to see if i could fill his belly up more so that he wouldnt wake up. It didnt work...i may try again cause it was his first time and he didnt eat a whole lot but he did seem to like it. Hes always interested when me and spencer eat so i think he was excited to try it out. He didnt spit anything up and he was happy the whole time :). Oh and my baby has said his first word!!! He definantly says mama and im so proud! :) He started saying it a while ago but i wasnt too sure cause hed just say it while he was angry, but lately he says it alot and its getting clearer and clearer...spencer heard it last night just to verify haha and i recorded it with his phone. Hes such a smart baby and i just love him to pieces!

TV Hutch

The last project was my tv hutch. Grant and Jill gave us this when we got married :) it is getting pretty old but the bones are still good! It fits in our built in tv area place like perfectly, i just didnt like the knotty wood...kinda out of date. And my wall color is pretty dark so i wanted to paint it white to lighten things up a bit. Again its not perfect, we are not proffesionals but i think its super cute! It fits in with my furniture alot better and makes the room a little more bright. I love it!Before...

Outdoor bench

Yesterday me and Corinne finished my projects! We sanded down this bench that my parents gave me...it was really hard and we did our best but it was definantly not perfect. As we painted it you can see where we must have not sanded it down good enough. But it has a rustic look to it and i honestly think its adorable. Show Low!

This last weekend me and preston took a trip up to show low to see my mom, tanner, courtney and my grandparents. My mom had to take courtney to her orthodontist appt (she only has 2 appts left so they are just traveling from utah instead of finding a new doctor and starting over there). But i think its a fabulous idea cause we get to see them more often! We stayed with my grandma and grandpa porter and i totally forgot to take pictures with them :( but i did remember to take pictures when we went over to my grandma bigelows house sunday evening. It was so wonderful to just chill in PERFECT weather and visit and play games. It was a very relaxing and fun weekend. I cant wait to do it again in november! I found these pics on my camera that tanner took and they are SO funny. That whole dumb red plant thing is totally in corinnes face...whats up with that? haha

Labor Day!

Today was ALOT more fun then i had expected. We hardley ever have days that we spend 100% of our time together. We slept in and then got ready and went to the lake with Danny and Alyssa. It was Prestons first time out on the boat and the first time weve ever had him out in this valley heat for a long period of time. But he LOVED it! He was the most happy when the boat was running though...whenever we would stop he would make fussy noises...i think he really liked the wind blowing through his fuzzy hair. haha but we had a good time! Oh and on Sunday night Preston rolled himself over for the first time! We are so proud of him...hes getting to be such a big boy! Preston and Daddy

After the lake we went to Spencers buddys parents house to go swimming. Taylor and Amanda are so fun and they have two cute little kiddos that we just love! We took the babys swimmin and visited, its great to have good friends!

Rocking Chair

I dont know if ive been watching too much HGTV or what but i have been in the "decorating" mode. I want to fix EVERYTHING and im constantly thinking of things to buy to make my home cuter...its not really a good thing. But i have a few older pieces of furniture that are super cute but are just in need of some luvin. The first one is a little kids rocking chair..it was actually mine when i was little so its like 20 years old. I think its just adorable but it was looking a little old so i sanded it down and painted it. I love how it turned out. I am doing a tv hutch and an outdoor bench too but those arent done yet so ill post them when they are finished! before...

Prestons Car

I found this car online and i fell in love with it :) Its a jumber/walker combo. It makes car noises and songs and it has a horn and some other things to play with. Ive been dying to get it and it finally came last night so i set it up when preston was in bed and this morning he got to play in it for the first time! He was all smiles...just luvin it! He thinks the steering wheel is dinner though haha he keeps slobering all over it. I just love this boy!

Workin Hard...

Spencer started school....So now when he comes home he has work and homework to take care of. Well preston loves his daddy very much and he wanted to be around him so we sat him down right next to dad and he started workin hard just like him. I thought these pics were so cute!
