One of the perks of Spencer's jobs is the houses that they buy with pools, we get to go and play in them before the homes go up for sale ;). 

Girls California Trip...

Me and my sister got to take our kiddos and meet my mom and sister at our Aunts house in California the end of July! Boy do we like California! I think everyone's favorite part was the beach, Preston loved the ocean but he wasn't as "brave" towards the water like I thought he'd be ( which was such a blessing! ) We hung out at my Aunts house and swam and we also did a little shopping! It was a bit hectic with the babies but we still had a good time. Next girls trip though...I'm going SOLO!

Summer Update : Spencer and I...

I guess I am just linking mine and Spencer's together since nothing really new or big happened with us. Spencer is still doing Real Estate and Investments. He's really good at what he does and he really likes it,  so this job of his turned into a career and we are really excited about it. It feels EXTREMELY nice to be done with school. He's been home so much more and its been such a blessing! He has been wakeboarding any chance he gets, he's so fun to watch. 

I am still in love with my job as wife and mommy! I just started a new diet challenge today called 60 days 10 dollars. Everyone puts 10 dollars in and whoever looses the most percentage wise wins the money! I'm hoping I win but either way if I loose the weight I want I will be extremely excited. I'm hoping this will be the motivation I need to finally do it! I also have a million craft projects/ christmas presents to make that I will be super busy with these next few months! Life is good!

Me and Spencer also celebrated our 5th Anniversary this month! I am so in love with that man! Like the song says " I belong with you, You belong with me, Your my Sweetheart"! We most definitely belong together. I love you Spencer!

Preston's first day of Preschool!...

I really can't believe Preston is old enough for preschool! Blows my mind how quickly he is growing up. I had a really hard time deciding on preschool. Should he go? The school system already takes our kids away at 5 years old and when they graduate they are old enough to start their own lives. They are only completely ours for 5 years. I went back and forth a million times and then a friend from my ward started up a little preschool across the street. It's only 2 days a week for 3 hours. I mainly wanted something that would be fun for him. Don't get me wrong I want him to learn things but I feel like they have so many years full of schedules and lots of learning. I mainly just wanted him to make friends, learn how to share and how to deal with other kids his age. He needs help with his attention span and sometimes listening so I hope that this will help him with those. But more then anything I want him to have fun and enjoy it. This is how he looked on his first day!

Gosh he is the most handsome preschooler I've ever seen! 

He was so excited to go and went in and never looked back! He held my hand up to the door and his teacher put on his name tag and he was off. I got in my car and tears just came like crazy. I totally thought I'd be okay but in the moment I just couldn't take it. My baby is SO big and he acted so confident and secure and I just felt a little piece of his "needing his mama" went away. But then I came and picked him up. He saw me and ran to me and gave me a big hug. Gosh I love that boy. These are some of the things he told me - 

" Mom I had LOTS and LOTS of friends!"

"Mike(ee) is my friend"

"I read a book with bugs!"

I picked him up and had to run to do some more errands...

He was worn out! He woke up and immediately came to me and said "Mom, I need to go back to preschool!" haha I told him he would in a couple of days. I'm so glad he enjoyed it :) Makes me feel better about him going!!

His Teacher is so awesome and she emailed us all last night to tell us a little about all of their first days. This is what she said about Preston...

 "Preston did great today! Preston is working on lengthening his attention span which will enable him to sit longer periods for group learning. I know that with time these expectations will become easier for him. He is the youngest boy in our class so I understand that his attention span is not as long as some of the others. He was very helpful in putting together our giant school bus puzzle, and he played very well with the other children. We are excited to see Preston Thursday at preschool!"

I was right about his attention span haha and I'm so glad he's working on it :). I just love him!

Summer Update: Lylah...

Miss Lylah girl is growing up way too quickly. She has gotten so big and has just been the funnest little gal this summer. Shes such a trooper on trips. She actually likes her car seat and was so good on all our trips. She is my little diva girl though, I like to say shes black and white. When shes happy shes so happy and sweet but whens she mad shes just plain crazy. We love her so much and has made our life complete (for now). Here are some fun cute pictures of her this summer! 

Lylah is the sweetest thing on earth. We could just eat her up and we all squeeze her non stop! She is learning so much and it is so fun to watch. She says mama, dada and hi and she kinda says bye. She loves to wave and says hi while doing it. She loves making a scrunchy mad face and we all laugh. Its pretty funny and adorable! She still puts everything in her mouth and we are constantly picking up the floors. She is EVERYWHERE and loves to follow me and preston around the house all day long. She loves to swing and take baths. Shes sleeping through the night most of the time, hopefully she'll start doing it consistently. She has 6 teeth and has been eating so much better! Shes still a chunk and we LOVE it. We are so obsessed with her it is crazy! Love you Lylah Kay, forever and for always!
