How it happened, how long were you engaged for? was it a total surprise? pictures of that... etc.
Oh the proposal...haha. I wasn't surprised that he was asking but the way he asked was certainly surprising. Lets go back in time just a bit...I moved to the valley when they started putting up camera tickets. I had NO clue what the crap they were at first. Well I might have had a little speeding problem...and by the time we were talking about getting married I had 3 unpaid tickets under my belt. Well it was Saturday June 9, 2007 when he proposed. We were on our way to a "special" surprise place when Spencer was pulled over. He asked for Spencers license and registration and then asked for my license! I almost pretended like I didn't have it but I decided not to lie in front of the guy I liked haha! He came back and asked me to step out of the car. He then hand cuffed me and Spencer started getting mad and asking him what the crap was going on. He told Spencer he had better be quiet and then took me to the back seat of the cop car. He started doing things with the computer and then asked me if I wanted him to go tell Spenc to follow us to the station to bail me out...I don't think I had ever said yes faster. So he went to talk to Spencer. Spencer came back and as I was looking at him through the window with BARS he said " You know, I can get you out of this", then he opened the car door and got on one knee and said " But you gotta marry me first". Of course I said YES. We were engaged for a total of 2 months haha!
He's such a clever guy haha. I told the story in a talk when we first moved into our ward now and for a while when people couldn't remember who I was they would be like "oh your the one that was arrested" haha yes that's me! It was memorable that's for sure!
