Update on Us!...

Me and Preston flew out to Utah on tuesday to surprise my mom for her birthday! She had no idea and was in tears when she saw us. Were having tons of fun and will be gone untill Saturday April 3. I may try and do some posts while im here but if not well be back in about a week in a half.

Thanks Spenc for letting us go...we love and miss you tons!

Happy Birthday Mom!

Happy 29th ( as my mom likes to put it ) Birthday!

I totally had a few REALLY cute photos to use for this post but my stinkin desktop computer broke ( more on that another time ) but luckily i still have a few pictures saved to my laptop so I chose this one. Obviously this is my wedding day! But I wanted to dedicate this post to my wonderful Mom ( Im so lucky...cause I got the BEST one! ) My mom is honestly the greatest mom ive ever known...shes always there for me whenever ive ever needed her...shes fun and funny...EVERYONE loves her...shes stylin and super cute...the BEST grandma to Preston...great example...so caring and helpful...the list could go on and on.

Well i was trying to decide how to write this post and i was debating on doing the same thing i did for my sister courtney but listing 43 things might take me forever but dont doubt me cause I could totally list that many things...plus more. But shes almost the only one i could do that for! Well I came up with this instead...

I love you...you honestly mean so much more to me than youll ever know. I hope to be as good of a mother as you have been to me. Your a perfect example of love and of motherly service. Its funny how once you grow up and have a baby of your own you finally realize how much your mother did for you. Youve done SO much and I appreciate every little thing. You are definantly one of my very best friends and I miss you SO  much. I wish so badly we lived closer and we could hang out ALL the time. You're such a great grandma to Preston and I am so thankful for it. He loves you more than you know. I hope you have the BEST birthday and I cant wait to see you soon!!! We all LOVE you soooo much!

Car Show...

Spencer had to take some of Rons cars to Berge Ford for a car show today so me and preston went and got his favorite mexican food and brought it to him and some of the other guys there. We only stayed there for about an hour or so but preston sure did have fun playing in the mustang. He LOVES the steering wheel...of anything...he just thinks hes ready to go haha! I think he just loved all the attention he was getting by the people walking by and laughing and smiling at him and telling him how cute he was.

He could of played in there all day i think...he didnt want to get out! He was even reaching for the stick shift....smart boy haha!

I'm absolutely in L.O.V.E with these two boys.

Saguaro Lake...

I think this picture was perfect at capturing preston today at the lake. He didnt really enjoy himself...he HATED his dumb life jacket and really i cant blame him. I HATE them as well. Usually we go to a private lake (if you can even call it a lake) its really shallow and no one is ever on it and we dont make him wear the life jacket...but today we went to saguaro and he HAD to wear it. Although it did make for some pretty funny pictures...poor baby could hardley move! We really need to invest in buying one for him that maybe isnt so old...do they really still make them this puffy haha!? I think spencer wore this life jacket when he was little.. haha im joking.

He was a "natural" at driving the boat though...

I really tried to take some pictures of spencer wakeboarding but with my "dinasour" camera that takes 5 minutes to actually snap a picture and my crazy 10 month old boy I didnt take very many and the ones that I did werent the best. So these were my favorite 3...he did awesome though! Especially considering how choppy the water was. Im debating on whether i want to try and learn to wakeboard again... I tried once like 2 years ago and i sucked! Ever since then I just havent wanted to try ...but i just think it would be cool so Im kinda hoping to before I get prego again!

Im really glad we were able to go though...we didnt really get a spring break this year which totally sucks. Spencer did have off of school but everyone else he works with took the week off so spencer had "double duty" all week long so it was just like a regular week for us. Im really glad he was able to at least have today off to go to the lake and spend some time with us!

Oh and we also saw a car/boat! It was so hilarious...we pulled up to drop the boat off and this car just drove right into the water! I have never seen anything like it so I had to snap a couple of pictures! haha!

Home sick...

Tonight my hubby is having a boys night at one of his friends houses which Im totally okay with, it just has got me thinking. I really miss my friends that Ive had for years and spent so much time growing up with. I really had some AWESOME friends and its sad how ive totally failed at keeping touch. Im probably the worst ever at remembering to call people back or even text, let alone making the initiative to get together with friends. But to all of my old friends who read my blog...I miss you...and i truely hope your doing wonderfully.

I never thought id say i missed good ol' show low but i sorda do. I miss fresh air...i miss the "slow" life...i miss knowing almost everyone in town...dirt roads and trucks. It was "home" for so long and i dont even know when ill ever be there again. Its hard sometimes living here in the valley where my husband grew up...he still has all his old buddys, all his family, and everything familiar in his life that hes always had. Ive had to "adjust" and sometimes its hard. I want so badly to run to my mommys house everytime spencer is gone, I want to have "girls nights" with my friends from highschool, i wish my backyard was "woods" and i could jump on my quad and run away from it all and maybe spot an elk :). I miss camping SO bad...fishing and quad riding...smelling like camp fire and laughing with my family...my family is SERIOUSLY funny.

Im a country girl at heart and I dont think ill ever be a "valley" girl. But dont get me wrong Im VERY blessed here in gilbert arizona. The weather right now is perfect though im afraid to say that the heat is creeping up WAY too quickly. I love my new home...its perfect for us in almost every way. I LOVE having stores at my fingertips...though its not soo good at times either haha. My husbands family has been a huge blessing in our lives and its nice having them nearby. Its a perfect place for us to be while spencer is going to school and were still trying to figure things out.

Its funny how even though im PERFECTLY happy right now with my life and everyone in it, i still miss those "old" things. Memories never leave you...especially good ones. Hopefully these memories im making right now ill forever cherish and miss as the years fly by. I think its good to miss and remember the "past" sometimes...

Daddys work...

Me and Preston had to go shopping at the chandler mall today...we needed to get my mom a birthday present and preston needed some new shoes. Hes starting to move around alot and he slips alot on the tile cause all he has is socks and for a while now i havent been able to fit his chubby feet in any shoes so we went and got him "fitted" today and hes actually in a size 4 but he needs "wide" shoes haha but they fit and they look super cute! Well since we were already out that way we did a little errand for Spencer and then we went to his office to visit him.

He was kind of a mess though...he just wanted to grab all the papers and push all the chairs around so we had to be creative and we twisted him around in the chair and he played with cars. He enjoyed it though...its not very often that we get to spend time with daddy during the day :).

He sure does LOVE his daddy...and so do I!!! Thanks spenc for all you do for our little family. Were SO proud of everything you do.

P.S. - Today is my father in laws 48th birthday!!! Happy Birthday Ron! We love you so much!

Backyard Fun...

Just too cute right!?

Today was kind of a boring day for me and Preston so I decided that wed try and play in the backyard...it was a success! We took out his lion and we posed for pictures haha. I liked SO many of the pictures that i had to post almost all of them. The weather was perfect for spending it outside...i wish i could have done more projects on our yard...hopefully well be able to do more soon.

Boys and their Cars

What is it about cars that boys just LOVE? I mean dont get me wrong...I really like ALOT of cars and new car smell...to die for! But I am not obsessed like all the boys in my life. Well Preston is following well in the footsteps of his peers. He loves playing with cars and he stares at all the cars driving by...they are just so interesting in the eyes of this little boy. Weve been playing "cars" lately and ill roll it to him and hell "hit" it back to me haha. Hes SO much fun to play with. Especially looking at that adorable grin of his with those little teeth poping up! And his cute little laugh is so addicting! I dont know what id do without this little boy brightning up my day. He makes cleaning, cooking, and errands soo much fun.

Toe sucking...

I thought Id share a picture of what I see in my rearview mirror whenever we go anywhere. Preston rips his socks off and sticks his foot in his mouth...lovely. haha

I wear my sunglasses...

I was going through some of debbies pictures of spencer yesterday and i found one of him as a baby with his mommys sunglasses on...i thought it was so funny cause i have one of me with my moms and we took one of preston last july with mine on. So I thought it would be fun to put them side by side. Arent we stylin? haha

My little green and little makeup monster

I have been on a cleaning kick lately....theres just SO much to clean and get organized that it is overwhelming at times. I feel like I do one thing but i still have about 100 other things on my list. But yesterday I used my new favorite thing...the bissell little green! I deep cleaned my couch and love seat...it was way more dirty than i thought...YUCK! You should have seen the black water...but thankfully its clean now and hopefully soon Ill be able to buy the couch covers Ive been dying to get so my couches will look TEN times better. I also have little stains in my carpet that Ive tried scrubbing countless times but yesterday i used this and it took them right out...oh how I love this machine!

We had a little scare this morning...me and spencer were both getting ready and preston was just crawling around playing with some of my makeup...( that was closed tightly ) anyways I turn around and somehow he had opened my covergirl base makeup and he was sticking his fingers in it and shoving it into his mouth!! I freaked out and grabbed it...tried getting it all out of his mouth and washing his hands off and immediately called poison control...is makeup poisonous? I had no clue...well the guy told me that he would be fine just to watch him and if he ate enough of it he may throw it up...poor baby! He hasnt acted funny or thrown up so hopefully he wont and he didnt swallow much. But no more playing with makeup thats for sure!

Wildlife World Zoo...

Saturday we decided to go to the wildlife world zoo in Peoria. It was seriously a million times better than the phoenix zoo. Ive never been a big fan of the phoenix zoo...i always thought it was kinda lame but now I REALLY think it is pretty lame and a waste of time and money. Yes the wildlife world zoo is kind of pricey...it was 28.00 a person! But I found coupons for buy 1 get 1 free in egg cartons...yes egg cartons haha. If anyone is looking for these coupons they are in "hickmans eggs" cartons and I found mine at walmart or walgreens. Kind of random i know. But it was well worth the money and drive. Ive never gotten so close to animals and there was SO much to see. Spencer hasnt ever been a huge fan of zoos but all day he was like "this is so cool", we seriously had an awesome day.

These are some of the animals we saw...we walked up on a high platform and the giraffes would walk right up to you and you could feed them...the white tiger was like 3 feet away from me...the black panther was asleep right over our head....

These are some pics during the first half of the day...Preston loved the monkeys and those monkeys sure liked him. The 2 bottom ones of spencer giving preston some water was sooo funny he loved when spenc would splash some water on his face.

This is me and Preston with Penquins...they were sooo flippin cute!

They had a petting zoo where you could just walk in and pet deer and goats and turtles...it was pretty sweet. Spencer took Preston in there and they both LOVED it.

They also have an aquiriam where you can actually touch things...we touched some little random sea creatures and star fish and we also got to pet a sting ray! I was scared but did it anyway and it was really neat...they are super soft!

They also had sharks and white aligators...seriously i could go on and on. We had such a fun time together...I absolutely LOVE spending time with my 2 boys!

Friends...

Friday night we had some friends over at our house to play some games. One of the couples has a little boy named Dallin thats only 3 weeks younger than Preston. Its so funny how each baby is just totally different and at different stages...no 2 are the same thats for sure haha. Well preston was a little giant compared to sweet little Dallin...they were really cute together both really interested in eachother. Its so fun to watch Preston with other babys...sometimes hes really good and wants to play and other times hes just not into it haha. Well we played Disneys scene it and it was alot of fun...im really not that good haha but we had a really good time...Im glad we finally got together with Dan and Carly and it was really nice to meet Caseys wife Andrea. Most of the time were kinda boring and we spend our weekends with eachother and just rent movies or something...( not that i mind, I LOVE spending time with just our little family ) but its nice to chat with other couples too!

Prestons walking lion...

I know ive said this before but I cant believe how fast this boy learns something new! I mean really he just barely learned how to crawl like 3 weeks ago...

Yesterday he started to walk with his little walking lion! I couldnt believe it! He does it all by himself...hes so funny about it too. Hell walk untill he runs into a wall or the couch and then throw a fit cause he cant move...he hasnt gotten turning down just yet haha! I cant believe how cute it is to watch this little guy walk around. Its been soo soo fun to watch him. I got it on my video camera but blogger wont let me download it on here...ive been trying all morning and i finally got fraustrated enough to give up. I may try and video it on my camera instead today and see if i can get it to work cause i know my mom would LOVE to watch it. So Im trying!!!

I also had to take a picture of the mess he makes wherever he goes. He leaves a trail of mess....haha

Peanut Butter

This boy LOVES food more than anyone else i know.

He will eat anything and everything if i let him. Hes really starting to want to be more "independant" with eating and is always wanting to feed himself...and i just dont want to clean up the mess so i hardley let him. But yesterday was another story, I let him be the big boy he wanted to be and I made him a peanut butter sandwhich and tore it up in peices and let him have at it. This was the result....we ended up going straight to the bath afterwords. He had fun and i had a good laugh...so maybe well do this more often. :)

Family History Photo Book

These are pictures of ron and debbie growing up...the 2 on the bottom are really old ones of ron when he was a baby...its so fun to show them to spencer because hes never even seen them! He was a cute chubby boy haha.

Im really excited about putting Ron and Debbies pictures together and making it into a book. They have some really cool old pictures of them growing up and dating. I love family history stuff. But i realized yesterday that this project is going to be a long and hard one. Since the pictures are so old and the color is gone Im taking them to get them scanned and fixed and put onto a cd. Once they are all on discs Im going to create a book on blurb of them growing up and then ending it with their wedding pictures. Im really excited because were going to have a book printed out for each of Debbies kids so they will forever have some family history photos. After that book is complete though were going to start making books for debbie, of all the rest of her pictures of her family growing up to the present day. And as Im making the family books Im going to be making a seperate book of just spencer growing up that I can print off for myself so that our kids will be able to see pictures of their daddy when he was little. Well... this sounds all fun and dandy...but it takes FOREVER to scan each picture in and fix each one AND they only let you scan in 24 pictures to 1 disc. I was there for 2.5 hours with my baby who was NOT HAPPY about just sitting in a store while i try and get this done. I ended up only getting 3 discs done which is only the pictures of debbie growing up. And Ron has alot more than Debbie does...plus them dating and their wedding and that would only be for the first book! ahhh....I really need to just take them all to a place where they will do it for me...DOES ANYONE KNOW OF A PLACE...HELP! Im hoping that when they are on discs this will get easier because once im done with debbies I really want to do my side of the family as well....i think this may take me years...wish me luck.

Doesnt he look like hes on a race horse or something haha? This boy is trying to get somewhere fast!

Thats how I just realized my life is going...way too fast. My mind set is always "I gotta do this tomorrow" and " I cant wait for May so we can go on some kind of vacation" but as Im driving home from a busy day I look back into the little mirror ( a mirror in front of preston so I can see him while im driving ) I see preston smiling and talking to himself. I cant express how much I love this time in my life. Im really so happy right now and I need to stop worrying about whats going down tomorrow or even months from now and enjoy my life today. Preston is 10 months old...he'll only be 10 months for 1 month. He changes so fast, i wonder what hell learn this month? I know there is so much joy to come in the future but I would live these days over and over with a huge smile if I could.

New plants...

Im not a big fan of "desert" plants...alot of them I just think are unattractive and we had like 3 in our backyard...not to mention that they have looked dead since we moved in haha. So saturday we went to home depot and picked some new ones out...we got one green bush of some sort haha I dont even know what kind it is all i know is that its a million times cuter than what we had before. We got 2 hisbiscus plants and one other kind of flower bush. We dug up the old ones and put in the new and It looks so pretty! They are small right now but by next year Im sure they will look ALOT better. I was super excited...I love finally doing projects ON MY HOUSE. It seems like my poor house is last in line to get anything done. We were actually going to build garden boxes but we cant decide on which way to go...wooden boxes or stone boxes...already built or build our own...there was just too many choices so were going to think about it and do it another weekend. Im just dying to start a garden though!

Preston had alot of fun just crunching up leaves and following us around. I love that we have a cute decent size yard...I cant wait to get a tiny baby pool and play in the backyard with him when it gets warmer. I had to really watch him cause he kept wanting to eat leaves and hed even stick his whole face in the ground to try and taste grass...hes so funny. And thats about it for interesting things this weekend...although I am started 2 huge projects, I really want to get crazy with scrapbooking again and get my books all done and up-to-date and Im also going to start on my mother in laws pictures...and there are a TON of pictures. So that will keep me super busy for quite a while.
