Sleep...

Weve both been lacking in the sleep department lately. I (the first time mother...lots to learn) let him sleep in our bed with us for months now. Weve been working on getting into the crib, lots and lots of late nights and hes definantly not happy about sleeping alone. So in conclusion we havent been getting the sleep we both desperately need. This is how i found him the other day...zonked out on the floor.

At least hes getting sleep right?

lol that is so hard sometimes! When Talen was super small we let him sleep in the bed with us then one day we were both like thats enough lol, it was so hard the first week he would cry and cry and wake up alot in the middle of the night, but it does get better :) and they totally get the hang of it!! Talen is a pro now haha... Preston will get it, hang in there! Its honestly worth it getting them in their own bed, but just take your time and whenever you guys are ready :)

Haha..I'm so sorry! That is not fun when they act like that! We have let Dallin sleep with us often from time to time. I have a few tips for you to try and see if they might work as well as they did and DO for me! 1) if you want him to sleep better at night in his own bed, try and wake him up early from all his naps during the day and keep him up in between! (if he sleeps for 1.5-2 hrs, let him only sleep half that!) and then lay him down at night and he'll be so exhausted he won't care if he's not with you! 2) One of the reasons he doesn't want to sleep by himself is because he wants the comfort of mommy and daddy and their smells surrounding him. When you lay him down in his own bed, lay your shirt (the one you've been wearing all day that has your scent saturated all over it!) over him just like you lay his blankets over him! (around his face/nose, etc.) and it may help him sleep by himself easier because he can smell "you"! while he's sleeping. Try those and tell me how they work!! Good luck!
